We reached out to the malls and Pearlridge Center sent a statement that said, “Regardless of any changes to Hawaii law, firearms or weapons of any kind will continue to be strictly prohibited at Pearlridge Center.”


Last I checked shoplifting is still a crime - do they need a sign for that too? How is that working?

The same is true for Cops.  The difference is, Cops will pull the trigger because they have been taught to.  Concealed carry license holders tend to hold fire until they are sure they are able to hit the target -- and that the target needs hitting.

The retail association rep said she rather see an active shooter kill than a ccw holder stop them multiple times during zoom testimony.

I have known over 50 business owners and been involved with all aspects of their business and "do u allow guns" was NEVER asked. Only places that sell liquor are asked if firearms are kept on the premesis. As in the workers/owner keeps a gun on site.

I don't think it's a 1A issue.  The state can dictate to businesses how to run things, because it's not the businesses' right to speak being violated.  If anything, businesses are being forced to speak if they disagree with the default "gun free zone" rule.

Is making someone profess their stance on an issue a violation of the 1st Amendment?  i don't believe so, but i don't know if that's ever been decided on legally.

I can shoot better than most any cop.

A cop has the entire legal staff of county or state on his side
so they don't care.
A CCW shooter measures every one of their actions as it will cost them thousands
of dollars even if they made the correct decision.
My only wish is that cops had that same concern.
BTW a cop is not even in the top ten most dangerous professions in the USA.
