As we have seen with the Kalihi guy who killed the kid. Even after calling 911 multiple times. HI still charged him due to social pressure. HI SCOTUS said cannot.

You are STUPID!
#1 You make too many stupid laws.
#2 On really important crimes, you don't
make sure the criminal is gone! for years, fuk his Hawaiian
or "local" heritage.
#3 This is Hawaii with a lot of culture and history to be proud of,
but it is also year 2023 and the world doesn't give a shit about you
if you can't hold your own.
Hawaii cannot hold it's own because it can't let go of its past.
There is a guy that comments here periodically that blames
some imagined US "Empire" for Hawaii's problems.
Y'all really think "Locals" could stand up to
a China that really doesn't recognize "the rule of law"

Hawaii charged the victim in the Deedy case, too.

A federal agent was assaulted, defended himself with a firearm, and he was railroaded more than once because the State filed excessive charges.

I used to think it was because the assailant was local and Deedy is White and not a resident. The more time i have had to observe, it's looking more like the State wanted to punish someone for Defensive Use of Gun -- as a lesson to the rest of us.
