Is a Miller Lite Boycott Next?
« on: May 15, 2023, 01:29:34 PM »
What's being described as a "Hold my beer!" moment from Miller Lite in light of the Bud Light-Dylan Mulvaney  boycott, an ad being described as "woke feminist" is making the rounds now.

The ad is OBVIOUSLY satire meant to make fun of woke feminists.  The ad is nonsense with respect to composting "bad s#!t" being composted into "good s#!t."  And the moderator is a comedian.

But, since the Left hates being called out for their wokeness, they would use this to bludgeon Miller Light, because 'consistency".

Not surprisingly, Miller took the ad down, but of course it's trending now -- even though the ad was released a month before the A-B boycott.

The ad could have been shorter.  Too much effort trying to find ways to use the word "s#!T."   :rofl:

Supposedly that spokesperson is a comedian. That again supposedly Miller Light is actually a beer and not just watered down piss.

I saw this as complete satire based on Feminism and the historically male-oriented beer ads.

This comment from a Miller rep confirms;
Quote
“This video was about two things: worm poop and saying women shouldn’t be forced to mud
wrestle in order to sell beer. Neither of these things should be remotely controversial
and we hope beer drinkers can appreciate the humor (and ridiculousness) of this video
from back in March,” a company spokesperson said.

I'm shocked at how seriously people are taking this ad.  I guess it's just for the clicks, riding on the coattails of the Bud Light REAL controversy.

Sarcasm is hard.
