The CRA and HJ44 Pistol Brace

HJ44 is a Congressional resolution to repeal the ATFs new rule regulating pistol braces.  It just passed the House.

What's more interesting is the Congressional Review Act (CRA).  This allows congress to repeal rules made by an agency and was used in this case.  It requires the resolution to be passed by the House and Senate, and cannot be filibustered, so just needs to pass with 51 votes in the Senate.  Also the President is not involved.  So this could actually happen.

This couldve been applied to bump stocks at the federal level too.

Correction, the President can veto the Joint Resolution and it takes a 2/3rd vote to override, so looks like this aint happening.

There are different types of congressional resolutions, some can be vetoed, some cannot.
