Where do you buy Duracell cr1632 batteries? For red dot optic. Or do you guys recommend a different brand?

Amazon is hit or miss.  Most sellers won't ship lithium batteries here, and others are bogus items -- i.e. they take cheapo batteries and relabel as reputable brands.  Others may even be "seconds' that didn't pass inspection at the Chinese factory that made it, so they dump them for cheap on Amazon.

I've started frequenting Battery Bill's.  They tend to not only have the best quality batteries at reasonable prices, but often the one they recommend as a replacement is a larger capacity than the old one for about the same price.

I have to assume a company that sells almost nothing but batteries already knows which ones to avoid and isn't having to deal with the "we don't ship to Hawaii" sources.

I just replaced 2 old iPod batteries and two Samsung cell batteries.  Perfect fit on all devices, and in the same ballpark as the ones on Amazon and eBay.  And if I have problems with them, I can deal with a local seller vs. Amazon or eBay sellers which might involve return shipping costs -- assuming i can ship it back.

Recommend calling Bill's.  If they don't have what you need in stock, they can order it.

Do the Duracell 1632 batteries leak?

I just looked at that battery.  it's the size used for many car remote key FOBs.

i usually find those at Long's.

I've never had a 3v lithium battery leak.  Worst I had was a CR2032 that exploded inside a PC decades ago.

Can also check 7/11, some of their locations stock a good selection of button cells that are popular with car remotes. I think they were name brand? Can’t recall

I have had 100% satisfaction with Battery Bill's, including batteries for my red dot optics since Radio Shack closed. Knocking on wood now.

I used to buy batteries from ebay but lately bogus branded batteries have become a problem.
For example a Sony branded battery is advertised but you receive a knock off that does not perform as the oem.
One seller sent me a brand x battery that did not even have the Duracell brand on it.
Knock off lithium ion batteries for power tools are the worst examples of you get what you pay for.
I tried one of these knock offs and it fell apart on the first time I used it.
Battery Bill is a knowledgeable and fair guy.

Two days ago so likely you found them already but I buy from Longs or City Mill.   Just in case anyone is seeking this information in the future.

Ebay is another place for better prices and in bulk but be careful the seller is disclosing the expiration date of the batteries they are selling.

Speaking of expiration date or shelf life, I had to replace the 2032 for my car's FOB this weekend.  I took the 2032 that had been in my range bag for a while.  Turned out that battery was dead (or very weak).  Will have to test with a meter later, but was surprised.  Read that typical shelf life for 2032 is 10 years "if stored properly".  Will have to check expiration dates or mark dates on what I have on hand.
