Mr. Colion Noir is da man!!

Only videos of him that I dislike are the videos he creates immediately after watching "The Walking Dead."

Costas is going to be on The Factor tomorrow explaining his comments, that ought to be interesting.

He did one on a show (if forget which one) that was covered in USA Today.  Just more ignorant BS with a futile attempt at explaining his comments.

O'Reily is pretty anti gun, so I doubt it.

On that FOX show "The Five", they pretty much ripped Bob Costas a new one, except for that idiot Bob Beckel....

This.  I stopped being an O'Reilly fan when he acted like a complete moron after the Aurora shooting.  He got on his soapbox and shouted down some Congressman who was trying (correctly) to tell him that he was a misinformed fool if he thinks you can really buy full auto machine guns with no background check at a gun show.  Then old O'Reilly really outdid himself when he made up the firearm category "heavy weapons".  I'm not sure what he meant by that, but when I hear someone say heavy weapons, I start thinking of crew-served anti-aircraft guns, field artillery, and bunker busting bombs.  O'Reilly is a dope; he thinks that walking a line right down the center of every single issue makes him a principled independent thinker.

It gets even better!

Now football players are more prone to domestic violence!

And he basically calls his viewing audience stupid in that he "gave (them) too much credit".

WTF!!!

Just as I expected, O'Reilly treated Costas like a reasonable person advancing a reasonable position.  The more I watch that Irish bastard, the more I think he's a gun grabber in sheep's clothing.  O'Reilly pretends to be fairly conservative, gains your trust, and then spends every gun-related segment trying to get a national conversation about gun control started.  Who does that sound like?  Dang, it sure seems like I just heard someone a while back talking about getting a conversation started and getting assault weapons off our streets; wish I could remember who it was.  Anyway, O'Reilly seems to be in lockstep with whoever that guy was, he just comes at from a different angle--a likely more dangerous angle.

there's WAY more to being conservative than being for gun rights.

there's a lot of anti gun conservatives and a lot of pro gun liberals.  it isnt a clear cut issue.

I'd submit to you that gun control is about as defining an issue for liberal v conservative as any other, be it abortion, taxation, etc; although it is true that some conservatives don't like guns and some liberals do.  Of course, I have no respect whatsoever for anyone who endorses more gun control, and I don't care if they go by the title conservative, liberal, or Pope.

to act like oreilly isnt a conservative though, because he is anomalous in a single issue, is a bit unfair, however.

and i wouldnt call it a defining issue at all.  there are many pro gun liberals, many anti gun conservatives, and its an issue that barely registered in the past election, period.  its almost, in the current political climate, irrelelvant to a lot of the people outside of the debate.  simply put, i get the feeling that if you dont feel strongly one way or the other, you simply dont care, and there are too many people both liberal and conservative who just dont really care about gn rights issues right now to consider it a hot button topic.

To me 2nd rights should be THE issue. That right's removal is the first step to tyranny.
