Democratic St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones’ support of gun control is coming into question after an open records request released thousands of her personal texts, including one that argued gun crackdowns are ineffective.

"Chicago has strict gun laws as well but that doesn't deter gun violence," Jones texted in a group chat to her dad, Virvus Jones and advisor Richard Callow on March 21, KSDK reported. "It's about investing in the people."

i'm shocked, yes, shocked, at that admission.  but she'll still toe the party mantra, hook, line & sinker.

Hmm...I wonder if our State and City officials have government mobile phones and what their texts are....

Gun laws in the past 20 years at least were never about "public safety".

Correct.  Gun control is about control.  Period.

There are people who do horrible things, but taking away the right to defend ourselves is not a solution.  It's an agenda.

On the PBS CCW special here, the anti gun rep from EveryTown when responding to gun laws and Chicago said that most of the guns come from out of states that have loose gun laws. The other panelist at the time didn't have the date, but this guy was wrong. 54% comes from guns from IL. Then 19% is the next highest number and comes from MI.  So once again, ET is lying/wrong. Same guy (Chris Marvin) said that HI shouldn't have stand your ground because he doesn't want another Kyle Rittenshouse situation. Despite him being told open carry is illegal in HI. He again used the same example because that's all his talking point was about. He has no clue what HI's gun laws are.
