maybe our esteemed legislators should work on legislation that would protect employees, loss-prevention officers, and even citizens from being sued when they stop thieves.

yeah, wishful thinking, never going to happen in this democrat utopia.

Criminals need to be more considerate and just break in after the stores close like this.

The city should give businesses a "no thieves allowed" sign, that seems to be the limit of their problem solving.  Or they could get a big dog.

This smash and grab sh*t so common on the mainland is becoming more prevalent in Hawaii.  And will continue to do so because the consequences are minimal.

That ole saying "Actions has consequences" are becoming a thing of the past.
