We already have plenty of sensitive places.
Gov. Green and the HPD needs to add to the list of prohibited items in sensitive places.
Eg.
rocks
bricks
all heavy objects capable of breaking glass

Don't forget mandatory signage to notify the punks that it's illegal to damage or steal stuff that ain't yours.

In a related matter, besides the above mentioned acts of lawlessness, we have this post from the NEXTDOOR site:

Well, those kids are at it again.
In the Kipapa Dr/ Kuahelani area, catching chickens to abuse & kill. A few months ago they caught chickens, tied their legs together, then dragged them behind their skate boards. There was a lot of discussion on this site and kids have kept a low profile but now they are back at it. Neighbor saw one of them with chicken in his backpack, stopped to tell them they can get in trouble abusing these animals and the kid just laughed at him. I don’t care how “anti chicken “ you are, these animals do not deserve this abuse and if young kids are doing this stuff now- what’s in their future?
-----

It is a well known pattern that kids who engage in animal abuse have no problem escalating to people abuse.

"...stopped to tell them they can get in trouble abusing these animals..."

If that person didn't call 911 on the spot to report the abuse, he/she should now understand WHY "the kid just laughed." Everyone here knows most people are not going to call the Cops because the system is ineffective.  Total waste of time to file a report and never hear back whether anything was ever done.

Unless the cop personally witnesses the abuse, it's a matter of your statement versus the kid's denials.

So, yeah, the criminals are laughing all over the nation at the threat of "getting into trouble."

This guy has some sensitive places after trying to rob some Sikhs.

Glad they decided to move to America. We need more people like that.

America's short staffed LE and overwhelmed courts systems over the years has contributed to today's attitudes where criminals need not worry about "actions have consequences".

Business owners are left footing the bill for damages and losses; the very core of America is being punished for pursuing the American Dream.  Owners frustrated by non response from LE are to do nothing lest they be charged with assault.

Whatever happened to fighting for what is yours?  Everything in that store is the property of the storeowner.  America's justice system has lost it's way.

I would have done that to the thief the first time he tried to steal something.

George Soros is what happened. He replaced all the DAs with his minions who are tasked with destroying the justice system and ushering in an era of chaos where we will beg for authoritarian rule.

Whatever happened to fighting for what is yours?  Everything in that store is the property of the storeowner.  America's justice system has lost it's way.

Liberalism/Democratic Socialism happened.

No longer is it customary to punish people who actually break the law.  It is now a task of determining exactly WHY the criminal chose to break the law.

Was the war on fentanyl causing him to resort to a different line of income?

Did Trump's anti-immigration policies make him hate foreigners?

There has to be something that relieves the thief of responsibility for his actions.

The shop owners?  Well, you heard in the video people asking, 'You have insurance?"   People don't see a connection between your loss and the thief's actions if you will be reimbursed by insurance.  Never mind that the insurance company can raise your rates or cancel your policy over too many claims.  That's a problem with the insurer, not the thief.

Yeah, you won't like the answer to "Whatever happened to fighting for what is yours?"  Everything you have belongs to someone else, because you didn't build that, right?

^$@!*^#%

Years ago (around ten), two thieves tried to rob my friend's jewelry store in Lost Wages.   He wrestled the gun away from one of them and shot him in the back and killed him as he ran away outside of his store . . . NO charges filed against him as the criminal was killed in the commission of a crime.

What would happen now?  NM if it was in Hawaii.

So, would you say that the Sikh clerk in the video got away with assault?  I'm simply following your line of reasoning as the robber was already on the ground and still getting wacks.
