** RIP ** Sinéad O'Connor
« on: August 13, 2023, 06:29:59 PM »
She was a popular song writer and performer right after my college graduation, so the first few years of my post-grad/Air Force life include memories of her music and activist shenanigans.

She passed at age 56 on July 26, 2023, but I'm just now seeing posts about her.  She was despondent after losing her son to suicide, and she'd posted on Twitter that she was contemplating doing the same out of grief.  She subsequently posted that she was not serious about those posts, but i can't find any information on cause of death.  That leads me to suspect she did finally take her own life.

She had some mental health and addiction struggles that may have contributed to her controversial behaviors, but she was very talented nonetheless.

Quote
The Irish singer’s death came 18 months after her 17-year-old son Shane
died after leaving a hospital while on suicide watch. O’Connor had three
other children.

RIP.

Yes, he did.

But I think she might have changed her name more times than The Artist.   :geekdanc:
