Not even three weeks after Gov Green signs his emergency proclamation on housing that guts the review process for fast development, and all of a sudden some of the most valuable real estate in the world is up for grabs.

They steal elections, destroy our businesses with lockdowns, and force us to take poison shots. I'd say asking questions about who benefits this time is the responsible thing to do.

As President of the Tin Foil Club, I will refrain from making statements that may sound to some like a tin foil statement.

Like I will not say, wait till a year later once the insurance money (business interruption coverage/loss of use) runs out and no one can rebuild due to building permit delays, lack of contractors, building supply shortages,  and "contaminated soil" removal delays.  Then the big companies will swoop in and offer to buy the land owner out to save them more headache for pennies on the dollar.

Tin foil or not, someone needs to archive all the property records in the damaged areas. I saw a fly-by video on youtube, but the records tell the true story. Which properties are fee simple, which are leasehold, and how many are owned by shady trusts? Document the assessed values, before and after. What are the mineral rights? We are witnessing an $8 billion dollar loss, which will get worse when inflation, insurance and taxes destroy homeowners across all islands. HECO and Maui Electric are going to sock us with infrastructure rate boosts. We pay for their dumb mistakes, and they make more money.
