I’ll grant you that 90,000 is “more than 10,000,” but I would think they’d quote a higher number if it was anywhere near 90K…
And that was just Texas.
In recent months, an estimated 110,000 migrants (aka illegal aliens) have arrived in NYC. About 10% were bussed there from Texas, so that's 11,000 -- just in "recent months."
But, the big problem in NYC is not just the raw numbers, but their own "we love migrants" policies and laws.
A lawsuit determined that NY's constitution requires the city to provide shelter and a job for any migrant that comes there. It used to be a trickling in, with people arriving and being sponsored by employers, family, friends and community members. Now, people who have no ties with anyone and no plan expect to be housed after just 3 days in country. And NYC is required to do it by law.
So all those crowds of people pouring over the border after Uncle Joe took office? Joe made a goal of 125,000 "refugees" allowed in PER YEAR. He's just under that number now, but refugee admissions are up 38.5% and we're getting about 2,556 per month on average.
How many of those would have been moved elsewhere or become a burden for border towns instead of being bussed to Dem-run cities?
The level of migration into the country is unsustainable. If Biden would implement limts and enforce them, maybe it would be more manageable. But, that's not the agenda.
