Greetings Fellow Extremists!

Pretty sure the fact that we're all here makes us at very least guilty by association.
Suggesting the Constitution should be followed is probably a hate crime or something by now, yeah?

Sounds perfect for that NM gov...
==========
"Those given the money from the grants fund are expected to develop prevention programming at the community level that would stop “targeted violence and terrorism,”
as well as come up with innovative prevention ideas, and “identify prevention best practices that can be replicated in communities nationwide.”"
=============

so somebody gets tax money to rat out their neighbor.

We will become a nation of karen-rats.

Ratting on each other will become the culture and will be rewarded.

Until the ship (nation) starts to sink.  Then the very rats who rewarded you will be sitting on your shoulders keeping you under water while they laugh and watch you die.

Ha ha.  The best part of the article is when it emphasizes that the funding is primarily for domestic terrorism, never mind that the dam is broken on the border and real terrorists are free to come and go as they please.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

They have AI for that now. Not only do you get flagged as non-compliant, but a chat bot spits out instant snarky responses to shut you down.

In Nazi Germany, some citizens passed on information about their neighbours, family, and friends to the Gestapo .
This was called informing.
Nazi propaganda presented the Gestapo as an omnipresent , all-seeing, all-knowing group.

Nazi propaganda presented the Gestapo as an omnipresent , all-seeing, all-knowing group.

The Nazis painted the picture that Jews -- and anyone who sympathized with them -- were subhuman, not worthy of any better treatment than a common rat or other disease-carrying pest.

Dehumanizing an entire race is a great way to turn ignorant people against them.

Then there were the immediate consequences carried out in full view of the public.  Jews were shot on the spot for the slightest of reasons, and anyone helping them were either summarily executed or sent to concentration camps.

It really doesn't take much more than that to convince a populace that informing on others was in their own interest.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

the former East Germany comes to mind, STASI and all.
although, there, ratting on each other was a duty.
