capitalism is evil. Everyone deserves food paid for or not. This is a great idea. When will Hawaii get its own govt owned supermarket?

I say let them run their little experiment there, see how well it works. And when it doesn't work, lesson learned and hopefully you have created a few more conservatives.

I had a hard time getting through this video.  Cannot believe that we have leaders in Chicago that actually will follow through on this.  And people in the community so stupid that they feel they are entitled to the very retail outlet that their peers forced to close down due to rampant theft.

These communities supported the policies of former mayor lightfoot and now support this new mayor brandon johnson.  Both of them are light on criminal theft and implemented no bail reform.

By voting for these leaders and supporting their policies, these communities in chicago deserve the "food desert" that their communities have become.  The city-owned grocery stores should be directly funded by those communities taxes and not the taxes of citizens from greater Illinois.

You made your bed.  Now lie in it.
