Police are looking for a man in his 20s with a brown complexion, about 5-foot-10 with a slim build.

He was wearing a black hat, multi-colored shirt and dark pants.

I think I've seen that guy ....

Yep.  Nuts.  The criminals are attacking people in their own yards.

I wonder what conditions exist here in our wonderful state that would make them (criminals) feel so empowered to do something like this.

Seems like our government has a problem with crime.  State Representative John Mizuno suggests Neighborhood patrols and diligence.  Seems Mr. Mizuno wants to make the government's problem our problem also.

With all the security cameras around today, I hope someone comes forward with video that identifies the punk.

They have that list of clothing and general descriptors, but that's not enough to ID anyone.

If you can get into my yard un-announced you'd be good.
but not safe.

That's fine for the Big Island, but what about Washington?  Who's watching your attack donkey there?

"Officials say surveillance video captured a suspect riding a moped stopping in the road and watching an elderly man in a red shirt."

That's what I guessed would happen.  So many cameras everywhere, it's nearly impossible to evade all of them.  Somebody at a minimum will be able to put you at the scene and hopefully provide enough for an identification.

Good job, detectives.

16 year old arrested

What would be appropriate punishment for a 16 yr old punk?
Something that would deter him from doing something stoopid ever again.

I have an idea....but I'll just shut up now.

I've always thought if someone assaults a vulnerable person -- elderly, mentally disabled, wheelchair bound, etc. -- they should be sentenced to no less than 3 years community service looking after people in the same category.  Orderly in an old folks home, kitchen staff in a group home for mentally challenged, .... something that's supervised and required direct interaction with the people like the one they hurt.  Maybe it'll give them a little empathy for the daily challenged they deal with and how his actions made their lives magnitudes worse.
