Honolulu police are investigating a stabbing overnight at a busy Kapolei mall. This is just one of multiple attempted murder cases police are looking into this week.

The Honolulu Police Department have opened an attempted murder investigation after they said, a 24-year-old man attacked a 23-year-old man in a bathroom at a Kapolei mall just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Police added, the suspect had a knife and injured the victim’s throat and chest. HPD said, they suspect was stopped by bystanders.

“We saw ambulances and cop cars and we were like what’s going on and we thought there was a fire,” said Sung, a mall employee. “Then later on we found out it was a stabbing and we were like oh yeah that’s pretty crazy.”

Honolulu police said, the suspect was arrested and remains in custody. According to HPD, the victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Kapolei residents KHON2 News spoke with are shocked to hear about a stabbing at a busy mall and are glad no one else was hurt.

“I’m concerned, because I got a 14-year-old daughter and I just want to make sure her surroundings and her environment are laced with safety and aloha,” said Moon Kahele, a Kapolei resident.

It’s the third attempted murder case HPD is investigating this week. Matthew Smith is charged with attempted murder after court documents said, he stabbed two roommates and the home owner Sunday night in Hawaii Kai. Court documents added, it started from an argument over food.

“Why is it guns are so accessible? There was also the chicken fight involving youth so how are they accessing these firearms? Is it ghost guns? Is it legally possessed guns by others in their family?” asked Honolulu Police Commission Chair Shannon Alivado during a meeting on Wednesday.

What needs to be spotlighted isn't knives or other crimes.  It's the lack 9f parenting and morals for the children and parents.  Also community programs and church that helps guide the way.

A Liberal society breeds the sh*t we have now.  No accountability or responsibility for their actions.

The children that were subjected to these Liberal ideals are parents now.

They teaching the kids no worry, nothing going happen to you.

Nothing permanent anyway.  All one gotta do is watch the news.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

It's just that simple.

The problem is that "simple" is not always easy.
Obviously, a lot of parents choose the wrong simple child rearing solution.
Their simple solution is popping a green bottle and letting their kid run loose around Mayor Wright.

But you should have seen the sidewalk in front of the elementary school 2 weeks ago.
Empty bottles and green caps directly in front of the school parking lot. Lots of green caps.
I should have taken a picture.

Kind of funny...but not really when you think about it.

They were at the CCH Bill 57 hearing saying people shouldn't be fighting with guns.  Use fists to settle things instead.

I cannot attend the rally since I am a legal CCW holder and law abiding citizen who has no TRO's, not under indictment, doesn't consume Pakalolo, passed a mental health check. . County ordinance and state law prohibits law abiding citizens like myself from attending these while I am exercising another constitutionally protected right.

If we are supposed to settle disputes through mutual hand-to-hand combat, then why do we need the court system?

Just hire a gang of Samoans and take whatever you want.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

i've never seen a Filipino carry a 7-foot sofa from a moving van into the house on his shoulders.

Just sayin'.
