I have a dumb question which has probably been answered before but does Koko Head allow more than 10 rounds to be loaded into 22 rimfire rifle? Or is it just 5? kind of sucks having to reload 5 bullets at a time.... Do they allow faster firing on the 22lr's as well?

You can if you're at the silhouette range.  I've never had problems loading up a 25 round mag for a 10/22.

As far as the regular rifle range, you're limited to 5.  Only exception is for the M1 Garand, which is allowed to be loaded with 8-round clips.

they allow more than five rounds in tubular magazines, IIRC.  at least, no one said a thing about mine.

No need for special clip. Done it before. Your fingers act as the spring, keeping constant tension when you insert it into the Garand's mag well.

well, i know you can do it, but its a lot easier to load 5 rounds in a magazine than to put five rounds loose in a clip, hold it in, and then hold it in while loading the rifle.

I had a buddy who used to load his Garand to only 5 at koko head.  The look a glee and hapiness on his face when I told him you could load to 8 for a Garand was priceless.

I used to do that all the time in matches with a Garand.  Found out there were 5-round clips available for hunting.  There's a five-round limit in big game hunting here, and "just loading five rounds" did not comply with the regulation.  Like a dowel blocking the mags of shotguns, you had to use a blocked mag.

I recently got a pair of 25-rd mags for my 10-22, mainly because handling the regular 10-rder was a pain in the patootie. 

There is also a California 10-round mag which is designed to lock into two more California 10-rders, giving you 30 rd in one assembly, but only 10 rd per actual magazine.  Sort of like taping two AR mags together.  Don't know if that would comply with HI regs, though.
