Interesting to see all the pro Palestine protesting world wide.  Even seen "infidel" faces in the crowd.  I assume they're not Muslim either as the women are not covering up according to Islam.  I wonder what would happen if these white people went to Palestine?  Would they be welcomed if they state that they support the cause?

How quickly also these can be rallied.  It's like the same BLM/Antifa organizers are back at it.

Also how come the signs and stuff mostly say Palestine and not Gaza or Hamas?

Damn, they can smell it.

They're going in for the kill.

So Israel states they wont stop as requested. They used analogies like if after Pearl Harbor, the US didn't declare war. Or after 9/11, even though it was an inside job, we didn't go after Al-Quada.  So where is all the armed IDF in plain clothes or uniformed during the attack?  I have yet to see IDK vids of engaging.  THe only vid there is, is of a Hamas guy getting shot.  It's on his Go Pro that was recovered. Vid doesn't show who shot at him.

Then the multiple vids of Hamas attacking or walking down the street without being engaged.  Israels plan was to let Hamas do damage so they have a reason to end Hamas once and for all.

What's also intersting is neighboring countries like Egypt refuse to let in Palestinian refugees.  It's like they know something...

IDF are not in uniform 24/7.  If they were there, they would not be as obvious as you're saying.

Also, when 1 or 2 IDF are walking and suddenly dozens of Hamas fall from the sky and start shooting, it's not a good tactic to try and take that size force on without #1 knowing what's happening and #2 having so many civilians in "play."

When off duty, do iDF carry weapons?  That could be a big #3.

Israelis likely have orders to not share combat video for security reasons.  This is common.  Israel HQ will then just show videos of things they want people to see.  Also showing Soldiers faces make them identifiable and put their families at risk.

Hamas and Palestinians do the same. They want to put out videos show them fighting or in control of the situation, and Israelis attacking civilians to help their side.

Certain IDF units are required to carry their rifle when off duty.  They are in plain clothes while attending a college lecture at a museum, at a beach in a bikini (frowned upon), etc...The purpose of this is for a situation like what just happened and a threat deterrent.  So not 1 vid of any plain clothes IDF loading their rifle (as mags aren't allowed to be inserted while carrying) engaging Hamas killing civilians.  With todays tech of video and cell phones, I find it that not 1 is being shown.

**Adding

There are also unifromed IDF with rifles, but no other gear.  As in no pack, plate carrier, mag holders (besides the 1 mag that's attached to the rifle), etc...Not totally "off duty", but kind of.

Majority of adults in Israel are former IDF, so no opsec there.  The hostages taken, many are adults and current or former IDF as it's required to serve.  Civilian vids are available of everythign else but this.  From the concert, road attacks, condo lanai watching Hamas walk down the street, moving cars being shot at, etc...

So what you're saying is if it's true, is that Israel only wants to play victim videos.  Which further gives reason for the invasion.

I was just thinking:  (I know.  Dangerous.)

Israel declared war on Hamas.  This means that they will do everything they can to destroy Hamas until it no longer exists.

Except therein lies the problem.  Hamas represents an idea.  They believe Israel and all Jews must be destroyed.

However, this idea is not only shared by Hamas.

Again. therein lies the problem.  Eliminate Hamas?  Then what?  Peace on Earth?  Bullsh*t.

So, were the Hamas paraglider terrorists in uniform or wearing anything that identified them as terrorists?

This is one of the problems with terrorists.  They can be dressed as civilians and blend into the crowd.  Unless a good guy sees exactly who is shooting, it's not wise to break cover and try to engage.  You need to know who they are and how many, otherwise you open yourself up to being taken out by the one or two you didn't spot.  Then what good would you be?

Nothing personal intended, but i can't stand Monday morning quarterbacking like this.  Unless you were there, it's impossible to know what people were thinking in the initial minutes of the chaos.  Uniformed or not, IDF or civilian, armed or not -- everyone will react the way they react.  You can't scream 'Israeli conspiracy!" just because the active duty soldiers who might have been present and who might have been armed and who might have had an opportunity to engage didn't somehow make it onto YouTube.

I doubt seriously if the IDF or anyone in government was prepared to respond to this kind of attack.  How do you train for this?  Remember the bus bombings?  Another thing that's almost impossible to stop without extreme retaliation against the terrorists' leadership.

The thing i'm curious about is where they launched from.  An aircraft would have drawn attention and required a much longer glide time to close the distance which would have decreased landing zone accuracy.  I would not be surprised if they used vehicles to get up to glide altitude far enough away that nobody saw the vehicles.

Have you seen anything about that?

I just found a pic of a wrecked engine from one used in the attack.

According to that article, 2 paragliders used similar means to attack Israel n 1987.

i'll have to do more reading later.  Seems like other countries have employed them mainly for troops to infiltrate and clear the way for additional ground troops to follow.

IDK about the paragliders, but others were shooting at civilians.  So if not terrorist, at minimal active shooter.  It isn't difficult to make a judgement call on the spot.  The gliders might be harder to judge unless they're shooting from the glider.

Some terrorist were in same identifiable clothing (uniform), others had chest rigs with mags visible, but were in plain clothes.  I have yet to see a vid of a single terrorist by himself shooting randomly or at something, which would resemble an active shooter, but refer to the above statement about active shooter.

I wouldn't go as far to say I'm a normal QB, as the IDF has prepared more than any other country for things like this.  Why else would they require armed plain clothes IDF when off duty?  This is the key that makes the attack totally different from any other nation.  Like if the same happened in the USA, not everyone was in the military and trained to shoot a rifle, nor is required to carry a rifle when off duty, or even on duty really.  Only military uniform I've seen carry anything was the MP's and this was on post or at the NEX (miliary property).  All other uniformed personelle are unarmed.

So we go back to Hamas shooting at civilians, you used the example of the IDF person opening themselves up to being taken out by the ones they didn't see.  This is a valid thought, but for it to happen in the entire AO is unheard of, unless they were told to stand down (prior SOP given) or not around.  Which is why I'm questioning this.

So either their armed IDF is for show and they have no bullets, or they were purposely not around or given orders not to defend.  And not having bullets isn't that far fetched.  At HNL airport here after 9/11, none of the armed soldiers had any bullets. They were all empty mags in their M16's.

What's also more concerning than your questioning of where they launched from is how did a dozer get close enough to the IDF base to take down the fence without being shot at.  It's not like there are no guard towers set up along the fence line.  Refer back to my commment about being told to stand down.

Canyou look up where they took off from?  Like from Gaza or Palestine or like inside Israel?  Cause if it was from Gaza or Palestine area, how did they get pass the towers?  Does the IDF have no SOP dealing with someone who flys over the line?

The article said they used open fields for both takeoff and landing.  The engines are loud, so they have to land in a private spot away from anyone who might hear them, or i guess gliding the last little bit might be better.

Get close, drop the engine, continue to the landing zone in silence.
