Really?  So why does the IRS and all states require you to list how many days you spent in each applicable state during a tax year?

Seems like they are making it their business, and pretending they are wrong won't be good in the long term.

Just sayin'.  You cant fool all the people (and gov't agencies) all the time.
Never seen that on any of my Federal tax forms.
I do pay Federal income taxes.
I have no taxable income in the state of Hawaii,
and WA state doesn't have an income tax.
Their sales tax is pretty damn obvious!

In my opinion America is ripe for invasion.  Thanks to you know who.  I have never seen Americans on so many different pages and agendas.

We are not one.  We haven't been on the same page for a long time now.

The Greatest Generation has passed us by.

We now have a generation of Dylan Mulvaney's.

You've never moved to a different state?  Moving expenses may be deductible if you qualify (miles between old and new location, what you spent on various moving expenses, ...).  Also, if you filed for a tax refund from any state, that goes on the 1040A.  There are also Federally defined per diem rates by state for certain federal deductions, such as interstate driving for business.

I'm sure there are others depending on your situation, such as farming credits, etc.  Regardless, the IRS may have a reason to be up in your business.

I only moved my personal legal state of residence,  My wife still lives in Hawaii with our home and property.
none of her income is taxable in Hawaii and she still votes here.
I only do garden variety standard tax form. No deductions since I have none. Were it not for Interest income,
I'd be a 1040 EZ filer.

I think Y'all missed the point,  they can't invade us but they can take out the electrical grid of most the mainland USA
for an extended period.
That will turn most major cities in the US into like scenes from "Escape from New York" in a matter of days.
Not that we need those cities but they then become a big problem for the local rural populations.
Internal USA strife is China's friend.

I was wondering if by attack they meant a military strike or just any hostile action. They likely could do serious damage with a cyber war. But would they though? We buy so much crap from them I have to wonder if they can afford to suddenly stop exporting so many goods to us and our allies.

There is no need to invade or physically attack the US. Motion is already being done to tear us apart from each other on the inside.  Look at the damage the new admin is doing, current politicians in HI and other blue cities/areas, debating made up genders, "educated" people calling for socialism, LEO obeying unjust orders, fact checkers, etc...

Only a retard would physically attack the US.  Which is how Hamas messed up, they united a country (Israel) by physically attacking them and their non-military personnel.

Correct. They've been using economic warfare for decades.  When I was working for a bank, people would come in all the time for crisp, non bent $100 bills cause China would give a higher exchange rate. Then China stopped accepting a $100 bill with any bends or markings at year 1996.  Add in they produce a lot of our stuff.  During covid, many supplement companies got their ingredents in China.  China figured out how to get more money and dependance from them.  China now will combine the ingredients to spec and then ship them over in bulk power.  This is 1 reason why a tub of creatine was $19.99 and is now $65. Plus current POTUS admin being weak on outsourcing.

Imagine a leader who wants to bring stuff back to America...China and other countries wouldn't like this.

Exactly what I was thinking. Us and China are fairly dependent on each other. But like cmo said, we're already in an economic war...and not doing too good.

Maybe China is striving to the point where the US is not needed anymore.......then they strike.

I think they are pretty close to realizing that.

It would have been when Trump was POTUS as the trade raping was over.  But then they relied on us for rice, soy, and pork, so they did still need us.  Trump didn't just cancel the trade agreements, he made them fair and co-dependent on each other.  Which a by product is avoid war.  Unless 1 side wanted control, then war happens.

Think of the scene in the movie when the actor Peter Archer wanted to fight Bruce Lee.  Then think of Bruce as Xi Jinping and Peter Archer as joe biden.

Bruce suggested they fight on that island and they can go in this little boat.  And the idiot Peter Archer agrees and gets in first.

Yeah, the POTUS being strung along on a leash by a China Man.  No need to fight when you are smart and you are dealing with an idiot.

You say "idiot," but I say at least in large part "conflict of interest."
