Shooting in Kakaako
« on: November 01, 2023, 08:38:50 AM »
One 29 year old dead on Ohe St. (Kakaako Waterfront Park area).  It was a BBQ at a park, so sensitive place. Work BBQ and an arguments broke out.  1 guy went back to the car and grabbed his gun.  Both who are being charged requested a translator (Samoan).  1 is under 21.

New said that when they tried to shoot more at the guys friend, the gun jammed.  Makes me wonder if P80 or just that illegal gun users don't maintain their guns.  The Lucky Strike shooter used a P80 and it jammed.  But vids on the mainland for non P80's used also had some jams.

All semi-autos handguns can jam.  One of the most common causes has nothing to do with the firearm or how it was maintained:
limp-wristing.

Just sayin'.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

From my understanding the P80 rails need a lot of attention and tuning and the only way to do that is to take it to the range with some files or a cordless dremel and keep working on it until it cycles.
That's probably a good thing however because it means a lot of the illegal guns out there are barely functional.
Until the criminals come up with something better that is.

Which is why I bring up this post.  The other gun that I see jam often in vids are hi-points.  Occassionally, I see a Glock jamming as well, but not to say that Glocks are trash, but if it's a common gun, it would make sense that more of them would be seen in vids.

The only vid in HI is the lucky Strike shooting, combined with the report that it is a P80.  YOu see the 1st shot going off, then the shooter trying to rack the slide.
