Scumbag picked the only type of car not to do this to.  If anyone else here did what the agents did, we would be in jail.

Secret service has a different mission and different training. Warning shots may be something they are allowed to do.

Or are you familiar with secret service training and know better? If not maybe better to consider possibilities instead of acting superior.

Secret Service must follow ‘use-of-force model’: Ex-agent
Quote
Evy Poumpouras, a former Secret Service agent, explained Monday on
“Elizabeth Vargas Reports” that an agent typically needs to determine an
imminent threat to themselves or others before firing.

“There’s a use-of-force model that Secret Service is taught, and it’s similar
to what other law enforcement entities are taught,” Poumpouras said.
“They’re probably gonna sit down with this agent and ask him or her,
‘What caused you to escalate to this level?'”
......
“Typically, you do not discharge a weapon unless there’s imminent danger
or harm to yourself or to someone else, so that agent’s going to have to
articulate why they discharged, and they’re going to have to say either there
was a threat towards me, a threat toward somebody else or I thought I saw a
weapon,” Poumpouras said. “If there was no weapon on scene and the agent
discharged, that’s going to be an issue and a problem. They’re going to look
at that.”

So where does the warning shot bullets land?  Does the agents have a kevlar mat that they fire the bullet into to make sure it doesn't hit any innocent person or damage someones property?

The only time a warning shot is justified is when it's aimed at an attacker.

Just like the WH cocaine story, this one will be allowed to die a quick and quiet death.

It's funny that the car jacker picked the worst car, short of trying to break into the Beast.

Dion Sanders got car jacked in Dallas, but the jacker recognized him and stopped and walked away. "Hey, you're Dion Sanders".

Not a car jacking.  SUV was unoccupied.

If the objective was to steal the vehicle, it would be grand theft; auto, not hijacking.

I can see the agent saying "I thought we had automatic weapons (MP5) in the car".  I mean it has happened before when a MP5 was stolen from a federal agents car.

In my law class at UH, we had a case study in TX.  At the time, it was legal to use deadly force to protect your property. So a guy parks his car down the street and saw a few people trying to break in. He shot at them with his rifle from his porch and killed 2 out of 3.  Cops asked him if that's his car and he said yes and that was the end of it.
