New York Rep. George Santos has been expelled from Congress.

The House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to remove the first-term
lawmaker from office. He is the sixth member of Congress in history to be expelled.

Santos has been facing intense criticism since he was first elected. He faced numerous
accusations that he lied about his resume and background during the campaign
and has been charged with multiple federal crimes.

Santos is currently facing 23 federal charges, including fraud related to COVID
unemployment benefits, misusing campaign funds, and providing false information
on his House disclosure reports. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Despite all the criticism and the federal charges, Santos has maintained his innocence
and refused to resign.

While two previous attempts to oust Santos failed, the final straw for many lawmakers
was a scathing report from the Ethics Committee. The report detailed "substantial
evidence" that Santos allegedly "violated federal criminal laws."

It concluded that Santos "sought to fraudulently exploit every aspect of his House
candidacy for his own personal financial profit" and "knowingly caused his campaign
committee to file false or incomplete reports with the Federal Election Commission."

After the report was released, Santos announced he would not seek reelection.

However, that did not stop lawmakers from filing another resolution to remove him
from office.

The final vote was 311-114.

Now that Santos has been expelled, New York Governor Kathy Hochul must declare
a special election within ten days. The election must take place within 70 to 80 days
of her announcement.

Nice,  hopefully that corrupt Democrat goes next.   If the evidence supports it.

Which corrupt Democrat?

That's a long list ... starting at the TOP.

Menendez. Biden isn't even close to "corrupt", atleast by politician standards.  After Menendez, hope trump and the nyc mayor are brought to justice.

Your standards may need revising.

Bank Records Show $20M, But Here’s
How Much Biden Actually Received

Quote
Subpoenaed bank records show the Biden family received at least
20 million in unexplained wires from foreign Nationals.

The payments went to nine family members, including even two of
Joe Biden’s grandchildren.

However, this isn’t the whole story. Republicans predict the Bidens
actually received more than $50 million.

The White House has insisted that Joe Biden never received payments,
but it is still bribery to carry out political favors in exchange for payments
to family.

Moreover, Hunter’s own text messages and emails confirm that Joe
received half of Hunter’s multi-million dollar salary. Hunter also admitted
to paying all of Joe’s bills for roughly a decade.

There's a political standard for "corrupt"?

There's a political standard for "corrupt"?

There's a standard applied to politicians held by their followers who can't see the corruption because of a variety of reasons.

Number one reason is because it takes more energy and cognitive effort to undo one's belief in misinformation than it took to accept it.

https://psychcentral.com/news/2018/09/23/why-do-we-believe-lies-even-after-they-are-proven-wrong#1

There's also the ego factor, where one must continue to believe a lie or else acknowledge they were capable of being deceived.

And don't discount recent causes like TDS, where it's simpler to align yourself for or against a particular politician or party without having to think, analyze or research.

The whole system is corrupt. Now we get to see if it will get stripped down back to basics or completely reset as a tyranny.
Stop blaming lazy people. We didn’t do anything.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Nancy Pelosi cast many stones not because she is without sin.  More like not being caught.  Yet.

She called him a coward.  I call her hypocrite.
