Just returned from a trip and brought back firearms that I previously acquired while a resident of Texas.
Do I have to print and submit medical info waiver and a mental health waiver to register a firearm that was acquired out of state?
Do I need to bring passport photos to register out of state firearms?
They list 4 forms which are
1.Firearms Information Form
2.Medical Information Waiver
3.Mental Health Waiver
4.Firearms Application/Questionnaire
Then at the bottom of their website it states "The firearm registration request form is for In-State purchases only." …Is the firearm registration request form included in the list above?
Thank you in advance for helping make sure I have my paperwork in order and can get this registration process hopefully completed with only one trip and wasted afternoon!
While reading 134 it stated that these item were required in order to obtain a permit to acquire… however it did not state that they were required in order to register a firearm that was acquired out of state…
In reading through these forums I have seen what appears to be discrepancies between what the actual law is and what HPD would like to be law by creating and enforcing their own policies and procedures.

The Honolulu PD website states that I have to submit the required forms to register out of state firearms and list what those required forms are and also
"If you are coming from Out of State then you must register the firearms in person
so the firearm can be physically inspected
The firearm registration request form is for In-State purchases only."
