#1. Partially correct. Presidents have exercised a lot of power with executive orders but they have also been knocked down by the courts as well. Conducting war without approval of congress? Yes and I would agree with some of that criticism but unfortunately this is not as simple given the complex nature of non-state groups

#2. You can make the case that the MSM and whoever else is biased but that does not mean they aren't free. Free in the sense that they are free from government control, this still exists. It is nowhere close to being like what China has been doing.
