Maybe cast Alec Baldwin as Kunta Kinte in "Roots".

It's the new woke world.
You do anything you want, and people have to be understanding and accommodating.
It could be worse. They could cast a transgender male or female to be Hannibal.
What, Me Worry?

Like Denzel but this is ..well..

Most the world thinks blacks are a significant part of our population due to movies and commercials.
Wrong!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_ethnicity_in_the_United_States

I understand Hawaii as a very diverse place racially, Thankfully we are low crime as most our black population is military.
but the rest of the USA is EFFed up, just because of one race and the white peoples inability to deal with it.
Full disclosure;  for a few years I lived in a city, Paramount that was predominantly "Hispanic". there were only two "white" families on my entire
block. I worked as a stock boy in a liquor store. it was virtually mandatory to speak conversational Spanish at work.
I had no problems. Even riding my 10 speed home at 2 AM.
I tried to get a job across the river in Compton( mostly all black in 1973) as a carpenter, which I well qualified for as the manager stated,
but told he me he could not hire me because I was white and he feared for my safety.
That is the real USA.
BLM is Bull shiite!

No other race gets as much hands outs.

Seen a vid of a tranny trying to go into a parks, womens restroom. A black mother was there with her daughter yelling at the guy to go else where. She was going off on him. If this was a white woman doing this, I'll bet it would be all over the fake news and protest in the streets.

Denzel was the new Equalizer, with a third movie out now, as Robert McCall.

Queen Latifah became the new Equalizer in the TV series, taking the name Robyn McCall.

Using the original Equalizer's name, McCall, seems a bit incongruent having a Scottish (or possibly Irish) name for an African-American.

I liked the first two movies, but then Denzel is a great actor regardless of the role.  Man on Fire was probably my least favorite movie of his.

I just wish someone could come up with a new thought once in a while rather than recycling successful shows, movies and books just because they are now legally in the public domain.

What's funny is I don't have a problem with anyone dressing as Santa.

There's only one Santa.  Everyone else is a "helper."  I say: the more, the merrier!  (Pun intended)

All about context and time/place. I generally have no issue with trannies. But when a dude goes into a womans bathroom or plays womens sports, that's not good. Same with Santa. Generally, no issue with someone dressing as Santa. But if that person were to do it in an alley way to lure little children to him, then that's not good. Or the less extreme, Santa on Easter hopping around like the Easter Bunny.  Context/time/place.

Wow.

My mind would have never gone there.

I've read stories about department store and mall Santas being hired who have convictions as pedos.  But that's not what i call a 'Santa's helper.'

When asked if Santa Claus exists, i always say: As long as the spirit of giving lives in someone's heart regardless of time of year, Santa is alive and well.

Anyone can masquerade as any child's friend -- Chucky Cheese, Mickey Mouse, etc.  But if their intent is to do evil, that's when we increase the penalties for destroying the fantasy of the character for children.
