Cash?  If i were that rich, i'd never carry cash.  I'd just use BitCoin and PayPal and do instant transfers to people.   :geekdanc:

Cash is king man.  My security detail will carry the bag of money.  Older people you're cutting in front may not know what bitcoin/payal are or have the means. Easier to just give out stack of hundreds. Plus it would take time for everyone to open their phone and give their info for the transfer, comapred to handing cash down the line.

The problem with that is thugs would follow you and your "cash mule" around looking for old people to mug -- older people carrying at least a grand in cash.

I'd be more inclined to compromise and say cash cards.  Giving out that much cash just seems too risky.

That's not my problem. Plus add in that I won't be doing this all the time. So if thugs are following me around it will be a lot of down time for them.  And if my security team is good, they would notice the person/vehicle following us.

i find it disconcerting that you spent so much time thinking about this tiny facet of the discussion.

Have you seen the Richard Pryor movie Brewster's Millions?  Thought provoking  concept.

inherit $300 million. However, he's not allowed to own any assets, destroy the
money, gift it, give it to charity, or tell anyone about the deal.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088850/

That movie was in 1985.  That $30M would be worth about $88M today based on inflation alone.  The $300M inheritance is worth $880M in 2024.

Getting rid of $88M and having no assets after 30 days means spending just under $3M per day on average.

It's cause Brewesters Millions wasn't NC-17. Hookers, hookers, hookers for him and friends. 30M gone in 2 weeks.Esp for the guys into weird shit that u gotta pay extra for.

Even your post was a fun way to imagine having something I will never have.

If you spent $88M on hookers, hookers, hookers for 30 days, you might not live long enough to claim the inheritance!

And renting hookers for someone else could be construed as a gift to your friends.  So you'd be pretty much on your own.

I have no idea how much a pro charges, but prostitution is only legal in Nevada.  Maine decriminalized it if you're the seller, but it's a crime to buy sex.

I remember a special documentary about the Moonlight Bunny Ranch brothel.  The top-rated employee was a former adult film star, Air Force Amy, who only worked by appointment and charged a standard $1,000/hour.  Given that was over 20 years ago, I have a feeling rates may have gone up.

Let's say you pay $2K/hour for one "entertainer".  $88M / $2K = 44K hours of entertainment.  There are only 720 hours in a 30 day period (24 x 30).  That is if you never sleep for a month!

So, if you could give this "gift" to your friends, let's be optimistic and say you only need 5 hours of rest each per day for sleep, eating, downing a bottle of vitamin E, etc.  That leaves 19 hours per day to partake.  19 hrs/day * 30 days = 570 hours per person over 30 days.

Now take the 44K hours needed to burn through the $88M at $2K/hr.  44K hours would mean you need yourself and 76 friends engaging Bunny Ranch workers for 19 hours a day.  Do you have that many friends who would take you up on that offer?  I guess the number can be reduced by throwing in air fare, meals, cases of lube to prevent skin discomfort, and physical exams afterward!     This assume you are even allowed to "gift" anyone a month of "recreational activities."

Air Force Amy can't charge premium rates as she's older. There was another episode where a mom bought her virgin son a hooker there for $5K.  I don't recall if time limit was discussed.

But paying a professional for their legal service is allowed.

He must spend $30 million in 30 days
He cannot own any assets at the end of the 30 days, except the clothes on his back
He cannot give away any money
He cannot gamble it away
He cannot destroy it
He cannot tell anyone about the conditions

And each worker at the Bunny Ranch sets their own price.  An on strip illegal hooker that you might find at the Wynn would def charge min $5K for 1 hour. (Don't ask how I know this).

So get every person you know and who wants in.

If else fails hire Bill Clinton as he was known to charge $500K for a 30 minute speech. Pay him to read a dictionary.

I never said Amy could still charge top rates.  I'm just using what I've seen as the top rated employee at one location where it's legal.  Assuming the top rated pros are all in the same price range, just insert the name of your top professional escort if it makes you happier.  I'm looking at the amount of money your would be spending, not personal preferences.

Propositioning a worker at The Wynn would be an illegal transaction, just as it would be to proposition a street walker. I've read that prostitution is illegal except when engaged in a "licensed house of prostitution."  So, your options are much slimmer than most people realize.

Unless I'm mistaken, the NV law has limits.  Prostitution is legal in any county that has fewer than 700,000 residents according to the most recent census.  That leaves out Las Vegas.
Quote
The state's most populated counties, Clark (which contains Las Vegas) and
Washoe (which contains Reno), are among those that do not permit prostitution.
It is also illegal in Nevada's capital, Carson City, an independent city.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostitution_in_Nevada

Anyway, you could try to get away with inflating what you pay someone for services.  You could do like in the movie and hire a photographer, and accountant, etc., but the salaries have to be close to what the industry standard is for those top positions.

I find it interesting that you'd think of Bill Clinton when discussing hookers.

Bill giving a speech has to at least be plausible as a real speech.  The money would go to the Clinton Foundation to avoid Bill paying taxes on the income, so the speech has to be legit for the IRS to see it as more than a gift.  JMHO.

Is there a difference between a sex worker and a prostitute?  Many "professionals" prefer to be called sex workers.  I guess it's more dignified and proper and all.

But they still suck ding-a-ling, right?  Among other things?

Sex worker includes anyone on the adult entertainment industry as well as prostitutes.
Quote
"Sex work" can take the form of prostitution, stripping or lap dancing, performance
in pornography, phone or internet sex, or any other exchange of sexual services
for financial or material gain. Sex workers who include sexual intercourse as part
of their services are considered full-service sex workers.    :geekdanc:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_worker

What's not included in the description which ought to be are the Sexual and Relationship Therapists.  Those therapeutic service have a wide variety of methods up to and including sexual surrogates.  The category can also include adult shops that deal in "marital aids" and fetish supplies even though the businesses don't directly offer sexual services.  I would argue there's little difference between an adult film or toy store and a phone sex operator.  Sexual pleasure in exchange for money.

The slang definitions are splitting hairs. Like midget, little person, etc...Hooker, escort, prostitute, "sex worker", pornstar all get an exchange of money for sex. So same same. Brothel, whorehouse, cathouse, bunny ranch, same same too. 1 term is more PC than the other.

I wonder if 1 could bargain for 15 minutes or by the minute instead?  But you gotta be careful if doing so illegally, when does the clock begin?  In the room, doing the act, walking to the room? 5 not real doctors were accused of rape in Vegas and arrested. 1 then showed video of the deed and IDK if charged dropped or found not guilty. But it seems like since there's vid, they should have never been arrested to begin with. IDK how it affects their not a real doctor license.

A restaurant in Vegas named Genting Palace in Resorts World has a dress code for dinner.  I would violate dress codes at nice restaurants and tell them I will pay for everyones bill cause they had to see me dressed in a t-shirt and shorts. ANd then match that in tip.  Lets see if the places still tell me no.

Private businesses are allowed to enforce rules and refuse service to anyone they don't wish to serve.

Depending on the owner's inclination to bow down to big spenders, many would not let one person ruin the experience for everyone else at any cost.

Now, of you offered the owner 5 times what the place is worth to sell the restaurant outright, ......   I hear everyone has his price.

"I own the place."

That's why I also offered to pay for everyones meal. Being underdressed may ruin their XP, but I'm sure a free meal would make it acceptable.  Also, tell them order what ever they want as well. $1200 glass of wine, no problem.

So it's not only being selfish, but compensating others who may be inconvenienced or XP ruined.  Then taking care of the staff as well.

You're basically painting yourself as a rich, self-centered jerk who does whatever he wants while expecting everyone else to cater to you.

That's what hypothetical threads like these are meant for:  to draw out the true character of those who participate.

Some would try to make others' lives a little better.  Some would satisfy their own narcissistic impulses.
