Are the newer Pythons equal to the older ones?  As in if you had a choice, which era would you pick?

I've never shot the old ones. but people say the old ones are smoother action and trigger, but require more servicing by a gunsmith.  the new ones are more robustly built.
the new python's rear sight is kind of crappy. comes loose.  I'm going to upgrade mine with the wilson combat one, or there's another one I might try

the new Anaconda's they say are better than the old ones.
