Yep.  My brother-in-law is like that.  He will stay at "his" machine, afraid that if he left somebody will come, hit the jackpot, and take all his money that he threw in the machine.

There are many people like him.  In my opinion they all are nuts.

He and sis in law were supposed to join us on the recent trip to Vegas.  They canceled last minute.  When I heard the news I let out a thunderous fart of excitement, apologized for the nuclear blast, then turned my head so they couldn't see my smile.......it was the best news I heard in a while. ;D

A good friend -- retired Navy -- wanted to take his father to Vegas (father had never been) to cheer him up after his divorce was finalized.  My friend, John, wanted his dad to know there's still something to live for!

They arrived a day before me, so they had time for the two to lose a little on the slots.  John told his dad I was the luckiest guy on slots he'd ever seen (he was stationed in Japan, which is where we first met).  While John was at the Luxor cashier waiting in line to cash out a ticket, he asked me to show his dad how i play the slots.  Right there was a little canaopy with a few high limit machines, which I never play.  But, nobody was playing them, so I said "why not?"

We hovered for a minute while I looked for "the" machine.  I settled on one that cost $15 per spin -- $5 minimum x 3 bets max.  I put in a $100 bill, and after the 3rd spin, I cashed out with $275!  John's dad looked at me and said, "What the f**k is it with you?"      He said he'd been losing on every machine he played, and i just walk up and turn it into a damn ATM!   :geekdanc:

It's better to be lucky than good.

His dad's mood did improve after a visit to a strip club.

Been testing that new craps strat that I mentioned. The biggest risk is if there's 3 PSO's in a row. But then again, no strategy will work if there's 3 PSO's in a row (unless you play the don'ts).  The gap in this strategy, is if you hedge, you need lots of $ to do so since your in $440 right off the bat. When I play the inside with $66 and the table is cold, I'm usually laying the 4 and 10 for $60 each.

But like the dealer mentioned, this is a long term strat, so you need the bankroll to withstand the PSO's. I mean I could play the don't pass to hedge, but maybe $200 instead to help pad that initial $440.

To test the rolls, I watch YT channels like Color Up who rolls and reviews diff strategies. Sometimes I watch it, but when low on time, I'll fast forward as he puts what the dice rolled at the bottom or the side of the screen. I'll also watch Casino Quest, but they don't post the rolls, so you have to sit and watch the entire video. I use the 30 roll craps challege vids.

So what YT channels do u guys watch to get your Vegas fix in?

Dannythemedic
Jacobslifeinvegas
AllyoucanVegas (until they moved to CA, they still do some VEgas vids)
NormaGeli
ExploreVegas
Pompsie and Pompsieslots
Itsvegasmatt
LadyluckHQ
Vegaslowroller
Vegasmusttry
Jaycation

I used to watch Allcasinoaction until Sarah got phased out. Seems like Victor controls her (not in a good way) and his vids are not entertaining as he lacks charisma and sounds like a jerkoff.

I kinda just surf and watch whatever interests me.  At one point or another I probably watched most of the ones listed.

I do look for new content on Explore Vegas.  For some reason I enjoy how he makes his video reviews and it's fun watching his wife enjoy her food.  She does a little dance when she likes something.  And he knows how to move the camera at a good pace so we can see the dishes when he's at a buffet.  Some vloggers move the camera too fast and I get vertigo, lol!

I used to like All you can Vegas.  I think Catherine was the best thing to happen for Derek as far as increasing viewership.  Doesn't seem to have much content coming out from those 2 lately.

Then there's Travel Ruby and some others.  Always check out Danny the Medic when he posts new stuff.  I kinda get tired of him always posting Chow Funn videos.  Wish he's stop that.

My wife started watching slot videos.  My brother and sister in law lives on those.  I started to watch also.

I forgot about Travel Ruby.  We recently watched her moving to Vegas video cause the discussion is on the table for us.

I think Derek and Catherine don't post much casue they dont come to Vegas as much.  I'm curious as to why they moved.  I have a feeling that Catherine got a job offer. She seems like a lawyer.

Shit, forgot Danvsworld. He's one who goes too fast when filming the buffet selections.

My favorites are Pit Bull Poker and Beyond Blackjack.

I used to watch All Casino Action before they renamed it.  When it was Sarah playing and Victor recording, it was pretty good.  When Victor started playing, it was obvious he's just a defensive little cry baby.  He wasn't just controlling to Sarah -- I think there was a bit of mental and emotional abuse going on.  She seemed very unhappy the last few times I saw her.  And Victor needs to hire a statistician.  He's constantly trying to spout off things like, "I've lost 90% of my hands,"  or "That's 10 in a row."  Anyone watching can see he's exaggerating, or just can't remember the good hands -- just the bad.  His negativity finally made me unsub.

Some of these gambling videos are just too long to really watch, so I'll just play them, hope the commercials are not overly annoying, and go about doing things without really giving it my undivided attention.

YEah, I've thought about the abuse as well for Sarah. 1 vid where she had to come to Victors defense, she seemed scared.

Funny u mention the longer vids. For me 20 mins or less is good. But whats funny is I'll watch 8 of their vids back to back, so a 30 min vid doesn't seem so long after all.

That dude on the EZ Life Slot Jackpots channel is a gossip-o-holic.  If there's not a real pile of steaming gossip to shovel, he generates his own.  He's often just stirring the pot to get responses from the people he tries to smear -- all for the controversy and click$.

There was one back-and-forth he had with some channel that he claimed was lying about their successes vs. losses.  No proof, of course -- just his interpretation of the videos the channel posted.

i've not seen his videos since then.  I think he was going after MG21 who played huge limit black jack and slots supposedly donating most of the winnings to charity.

Anyway, EZ Life seems get get his jollies by attacking bigger name YouTubers just to get drama clicks.  He could easily land a job at The National Enquirer.

From my understanding, Sarah is not a US citizen (Canadian), so she has to return to Canada periodically and renewed her travel visa. Not only is that a time waster, but it gets very expensive.  Also, I'm sure COVID created problems with all of that.  Her visa issues caused a few "pauses" in her content uploads even before Victor "I have the worst luck of anybody"!

I think we have a special agreement with Canada that they don't need an official visa (fill the paperwork at the border/customs).  But she is allowed to only stay in the US for a certain amount of time and must go back to Canada for X time.  Pretty much honor system.

This did cause a pause on certain times, but Victor has totally taken over now.

Tehre was 1 other channel I liked to watch and I can't remember it.  She's a filipino girl with a high pitch voice. Often playing at GVR card games. Every now and then she plays craps. Her husband is black who plays more BJ, but sometimes joins her on 3 card or Ultimate holdem.

I like playing craps.  I consider it entertainment although I admit it's much more fun when you win.  But I understand the game and know that as with slots and other table games,  it's skewed in the casino's favor.

Otherwise we wouldn't have all those pretty glitter and glamorous resorts in Vegas.

Tehre sounds like the gal who has the Lucky Lee channel.  That squeaky high voice coupled with a velocity that would give Ben Shapiro a run for his money can be entertaining.  Sometimes I  actually had to slow the video down to understand her, because even closed captioning had a hard time keeping up!

She has almost no clue about strategy.  In fact, after years of doing gaming videos, she still pulls out the BJ and TX Holdem strategy cheat cards to know what to do.  She's also horrible at math, making a lot of mistakes with certain bets.

I don't watch her slots videos, but BJ, Roulette, and craps are amusing.  She plays some big bets considering how much she uses pure luck versus any sort of reason, logic or odds.

She's cut back on the uploads.  I think she said she's in college now, so she's been busy.

Yeah, that's her.  I can't watch her as much cause Mrs. CMO doesn't like her voice.  Yeah, she's bad at gambling. By now, she should def know when to hit/stand, bet in UTH, etc...

She cut back early 2023 because she had some mental health issues, prob depression or something.  She had an IG post about it cause people were asking why not as much vids.  I haven't watched her in over 6 months.

The loudest table is the craps one as everyone celebrates when there's a hot shooter.  BJ, maybe the entire table celebrates when the dealer bust, but really betting only table min on 1 hand isn't that much to celebrate on IMO. But even then, if you already bust, then you not celebrating.  Unless u playing no bust BJ, which I haven't seen in a few years.

Hard Rock had it and dealer gets 23 is a push.  It's amazing how many times the dealer can get a 23.

Being part of a crowded craps table and having a hot shooter is one of the most funnest experiences one can have in Vegas.

The table is rowdy, loud, and just plain crazy.  I swear even a nun would succumb to the most basic of human nature:  greed, LOL!

When the shooter is rolling number after number and people are screaming, high-fiving, and pressing bets like it's the end of the world, there is nothing more exciting and fun.

I gotta admit.  This is why I play craps.  I want to re-live that experience again.  It can happen and it will happen, it's just trying to get lucky and being in the right place at the right time.
