The anti-gun movement is getting bold. They are making mountains out of molehills. Linking tactical and proficient firearms training with terrorist training.
A law abiding homeowner wants additional training to make sure he can protect his family and loved ones and they make him out to be a terrorist or part of a militia hate group.
What these stupid politi-tards don't realize is that the "sheeple" they think they can control and manipulate are getting sick and tired of these shenanigans.
Just look at what is happening in that sick state of illinois and their efforts to force registration on gun-owners. Result: Non Compliance. A nice way of saying "F*ck Yoo"
They are throwing all kinds of things at the wall to see what will stick. If it does, great. If it doesn't they don't care. They will keep at it. They are well funded and they don't care.
Our sh*t politicians here in hawaii are watching. Listening. Learning. Smiling.
The 2A text protects the people keeping and bearing arms with the rationale of providing a well regulated militia.
Those of us with a proper reading of the amendment understand that "well regulated" means well trained, not having to do with government regulations like the anti's believe.
I think a case could be made in front of the Supreme Court Justices demonstrating that this training is protected under the Bill of Rights.
It's not hard. A militia needs to be well trained to be effective. The people make up the militia. The people are protected by law in possession and carry of arms, which includes firearms that are able to be carried, so that they can practice manual of arms and marksmanship before being called up for militia duty.
The NRA was created out of a need to train the civilian population to shoot proficiently. The Civil War proved that an army is less capable if they've never before learned and practiced with firearms. NRA training was supposed to solve that by training those who might serve.
Maybe a similar BS talking point using muskets is appropriate?
Firearm training was recognized at the time the 2nd Amendment was added to the Constitution -- when one-shot muskets were commonly used. Training is therefore even more necessary today, and to a higher degree of proficiency. Modern revolvers and semi-automatic firearms don't take 20-30 seconds to reload between rounds. Operators need to be able to put their first shot on target before they pull the trigger a second time.
