The American Dream. But we won't WORK for it.

There was a time when migrants came to America with hopes of the American Dream and a better life.  And they worked hard to improve their life and the lives of their future loved ones.

Not anymore.  Migrants come with an attitude of entitlement.  They want the American Dream.,  NOW!!!!!

Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Lots of Filipino immigrants in my neighborhood. They work hard and keep their properties beautiful.
I never seen any of them panhandling or going door to door.
Most every panhandler I see in my area are scraggly-looking young white males.
What, Me Worry?

I'm Filipino.  My Best Friend is Japanese.  Both our fathers told us "Eh boy, you no make me shame...."

Pride and honor.  That's what they taught.

Not sure about Filipino.  But I personally have never been approached or seen a Japanese pan-handler.

well, my dad and both of my grandfathers never lectured me about hard work.
They just taught by example. So I did the same with my kids.

I think it paid off. My oldest son retired before me. LOL
I had to tell him to go back to work because he was just going surfing every day.
My other son married a VERY smart hard working local Filipina girl and they are raising 2 "super babies" in Las Vegas.
Those babies are so smart and funny.

Setting the example is the best way to teach.

Yep.  Foundations are built at a young age.  Impressions last forever.
