Black National Anthem??? Really? I want a polka! How about the Chinese national anthem. Sorry, I forgot that's the NBA. I will not watch if I don't get a polka at halftime, anything by Al Yankovick and call it an anthem :wtf:

I had to do a web search (again) to see if/when the Super Bowl is being played this year.

Super Bowl 58:  Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024.

Kickoff for Super Bowl 58 happens at 6:30 p.m. EST on CBS (in Hawaii? Do the math!)

Quote
Super Bowl LVIII will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This marks the first time Nevada has hosted the Super Bowl.

The stadium was nicknamed "The Death Star" by owner Mark Davis, according
to Bleacher Report. Home to the Las Vegas Raiders, Davis jokingly referenced
the Star Wars battle station as a place where their opponent's dreams "came to
die."

Others have likened Allegiant Stadium to a giant Roomba.

and, of course ....

Black national anthem to be performed at Super Bowl LVIII,
stirs debate on social media

Quote
"Lift Every Voice and Sing," known as the Black national anthem, has been
played at each Super Bowl since Super Bowl LV and has stirred controversy
on social media since. This year, the NFL said the song will be performed by
Grammy-winning R&B singer Andra Day.

Too bad Super Bowl LV wasn't played in Las Vegas.   :geekdanc:

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Isn't this racist?  I say it is racist.

Ainokea.  It's racist.

Can anybody explain why it's ok to sing the black national anthem at the SuperBS?.  Or anywhere for that matter.

This kind of sh*t only divides the country.  It won't bring us together.
