Don't be surprised if this is just a decoy legislation to divert our attention away from some other subversive legislation. Like that "chief's rules" tactic.

The other bills so far aren't as bad as this one. Unless said diversion is working and I missed the big one.

In my opinion, the NRA appears to almost exclusively care about National issues of gun control, not as much at the state level.

That's going to have to change, as Biden and VP Cackles attempt to get states to enact gun control which have failed in Congress.

There's a shift happening, and that might get individual states more attention, including HI.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

You're right about the NRA and let alone why would they care so much about a small blue state like HI that will never turn red.

Since I foresee a loss in the 9th for Miller (AWB), I want a federal AWB to pass.  This way it goes to SCOTUS and the other circuits who are corrupt will have their anti 2a ruling tossed.

Unknown. But this reads as Oscar is a info guy and Kevin Cole would still be the main POC.  I haven't heard from Kevin since the chiefs rules.

*update

He's still listed on the NRA-ILA grassroots webpage.

This is what happens when big gun group like the NRA doesn't focus on more law stuff for decades.  What happens in 1 state will cancer over to others in time. A ruling in the 9th against miller, I can guarantee you will see bans in OR and WA within the next legislative session.  NV maybe in a few years. ANd this is only the West Coast.  NY, NJ, MA, etc...will do their thing.

You're assuming state and federal governments will still be functional and not completely overwhelmed with other issues. The showdown on the Texas border alone could make a significant portion of the nation ungovernable, and that's a baby black swan compared to the ones that are coming.
I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

Washington already has an AWB. Signed in 2023.

They’ve tried for AWBs in Oregon, unsuccessfully so far.

The old NRA has been acting in a similar fashion to the old Republican Party- controlled opposition. This should have been clear since they allowed the automatic weapons ban.

As soon as the scandals came out and people started self-organizing then we started winning cases and getting immediate results. Surprise surprise. Grassroots actually works.

The point of the NRA was to take your money and make you feel like you were "doing something" without getting anything back but more scaremonger campaigns begging you for even more money.

Have they changed their tune? Doesn't look like it so far.

CA AWB appeal is on hold in the 9th pending Duncan (magazines) finishing it's appeals.

Court probably needs more justification from that to bad AWs.

Say we can’t summit testimony until there a date set??
Oh ignorant youth, the world is not a joyous place. The time has come for you to dispense with the frivolous pleasures of childhood and get down to honest toil until you are sixty-five. Then and only then can you relax and collect your social security and live happily until the time of your death!

9th is stalling. They cannot rule.  They have exhausted their twists of logic to spin past the SCOTUS precedent.  They are hoping for a demorat victory. They really want to stack the SCOTUS with more activists puppet judges that will ignore their constitutional duties and oath, just like they do.
