Would we be more or less sheltered from the conflict?

Would the governor have to declare which side he will align with?

Would there be protests for or against whatever issues is plaguing the nation?  And if so, wouldn't it be moot since we are so isolated?

Interested in knowing your take if we were to have a Civil War in the United States.

This is what worries me a lot. I feel like the Hawaii government would use an ongoing civil war to grab as much power as they could, and because most Hawaii voters are Fucken dumb they will go along with it in the name of safety and stability.

I was thinking this also.  America's enemies would definitely take advantage of the situation.  I'm sure they are watching what is unfolding at the border closely.

I'm a legal citizen of WA state, my wife lives in
Hawaii and I spend most my time here on land we own.
But I have thought this through, civil war.
Number one, I don't think it will be a Kinetic war per se.

I think all the Honolulu centrist Democrats will be invited to leave my Island, now!
Some semblance of a  ruling council will be put together, and
negotiate with Canada for trade.
If we had Honolulu out of the way the Big Island would be energy, housing,
and food self sufficient in short order.  We can grow lots of cattle cheap, and
crops year round.
We could be a real vacation paradise with Casinos, the natural beauty of Hawaii, and a
sportsman's paradise. Gambling, hiking, hunting, fishing, you know all the stuff
Honolulu has stifled.  Y'all don't believe me?  My God daughter has a good job and income for life.
Can't say Hawaiian county citizens can do that today,
her husband is Snoqualmie tribe and she is Puyllap tribe.
Hard part would be the monetary system. That part I haven't figured out,
but since it won't be a kinetic war, the US dollar will still work, maybe.

This scenario is assuming we all just go along with it and let them win:

CCP special forces have crossed over the open border and are actively preparing to make infrastructure attacks. The ongoing coordination with the Biden administration cannot be overlooked. Bribes, biolabs, lockdowns, selling off the strategic oil reserves… it’s pretty obvious who’s side the DNC is on and therefore which way Green is going to go.

The biggest problem for them is narrative control, so I expect grid attacks. They might coordinate with Hamas for Paris style terror attacks that would spread law enforcement to the breaking point. Martial law would be declared along with triggering Obama’s claim to all privately owned materials and supplies. The “siege” would never end, and emergency powers would become the new normal. They would follow the Orwellian playbook of permanent “warfare” between Oceania and Eastasia in order to justify totalitarianism.

It really depends on when they release the next weaponized virus though, and if it actually has a significant mortality rate.

So yeah… the importance of off-grid long distance comms cannot be under emphasized. That’s the only way to figure out that it’s all bullshit.
