Never been to a Hawaii gun show.  Given the laws here it seems a waste of time.
Been to a lot of mainland shows from Florida to WA state.
Admittedly I keep at least 1000 rounds for every one of my guns stored in WA state,
most people keep a stash of food in the pantry don't they?
But other than the NBC warfare nut cases I haven't seen many of the other nut cases
described in the video.
Perhaps it's because I only went to serious gun shows. Not a carnival.
 

We try to keep the weirdos under control here.
But cmo, eef and macsak keep sneaking in somehow.

The gun shows at the Blaisdell center is a mix of museum/gun flea market, always good fun to talk story with friends and shop owners.

A better joke is someone who runs away from Hawaii and complains about everything Hawaii but still comes back to Hawaii. A better definition of that joke is a liberal.

What I don't get is you stated you never went to a Hawaii gun show.  Like OF mentioned, come, talk story, make friends, maybe you'll see a different light.  Not everything is bells and whistles.

When you say admission is free, you have to know someone is paying for the venue.  Normally, if there is no fee for attendees, there's probably a fee for the vendors.  So, if you wind up buying anything, including a bottle of water, you're paying something for admission to the venue.

That's usually a safer bet for the venue owners/managers, as they can't count on the level of attendance -- but they do know how many tables they need to rent to break even.

Just saying -- there's no such thing as a free gun show.

If I didn't make myself clear. I love Hawaii and most everything about it.
I want to KILL the government here, be it Democrat or Monarchy rule.
The government is my problem with Hawaii.
I love the people and freely comply/respect all the social rules.
which are "different", like worshiping  Pele.
So don't think I don't care.
I do but I'm a WASP and oriental style obedience to authority is not in
my Genetic makeup.

Not retired but a disabled Vet.
I get money or services from the government but that was by a contract we both agreed to.
A contract not forced on either of us.
Social security is not a contract I agreed to, but I paid into it. as i did medicare.
So I am owed that .  I could have done far better, in the private world, but law is the law.

A small amount of government or more correctly
a central point of contact for community interests is necessary, but
what has developed in America is ":way beyond the pale.".
Especially Hawaii,  WA state , CA, OR , the like minded "Blue" state idiots
on the East coast of the USA,   and some places in between.
