Aloha supersedes the 2A
« on: February 08, 2024, 08:53:40 AM »
“We read those words differently than the current United States Supreme Court. We hold that in Hawai’i there is no state constitutional right to carry a firearm in public,” began the Court at the top of its opinion before going on to assert that “the spirit of Aloha clashes with a federally-mandated lifestyle that lets citizens walk around with deadly weapons during day-to-day activities.”
They continued:

The history of the Hawaiian Islands does not include a society where armed people move about the community to possibly combat the deadly aims of others.

The Government’s interest in reducing firearms violence through reasonable weapons regulations has preserved peace and tranquility in Hawai’i. A free-wheeling right to carry guns in public degrades other other constitutional rights.
=====================
History and tradition shows that Kamehameha open carried a deadly weapon.

What, Me Worry?

The spear wasn't banned, but the paddle was. Focus.

Musashi killed Kojiro with a modified oar.

Is that why oars were banned?  Hawaii's leaders are so stupid.

And madafackahs.

Actually the "Aloha State" slogan was a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Aloha has several meanings, one of which is "Good-bye".

Apropos, given the number of people being forced to leave the state to make a living and escape this corrupt hell hole.

Whoa, never thought about it this way. Hasta La Vista also is a form of saying good bye. What if the judge is a T2 fan and meant carry a mini gun.

HNN has several news people in Vegas to cover the Stupid Bowl.

So many people with Hawaii roots.  Lots of them are executive chefs or managers of resorts and stuff.  If they stayed in Hawaii they would be sitting in mommy's and daddy's house with their finger up their nose.  Or God forbid somewhere else......

Hawaii is on the path to self destruction.  Housing is out of reach for the average person and the construction unions are choke with members but pretty soon not going get anything to build.

We all know why the carpenters, masons, steel workers and everybody else supported the rail.  It was to keep their jobs.  Not for the other BS reasons the media and union officials want us to believe.

Everyday I see the train pass I try to see if there are any riders.  Lucky I see one.  Most times it is none.

Hey it rhymes.

And let the people who voted for that government try to figure out how to run things?

So if you declare that you’re no longer part of the United States does that mean you just did an insurrection?

VEgas is on a tip top right now. It could go bad and end up like CA, with all the CA people moving. There' actually a prejudice against CA people and drivers/cars (CA plates).  But if these people have learned from their mistakes, it will make NV for the better. But IDK if they have. As most of my HI friends who moved to Vegas, still vote the same way (blue) and have DNC mentality.

Yep.  If I have to defend myself my version of "aloha" definitely does not mean "welcome".

==========
Since I live in a quiet subdivision with other people, I need:
Clean drinking water
road repairs
cops to arrest stupid people
Fire dept to save my house
jails to keep stupid people
schools to make my kids smart
A tax system to distribute the above expenses fairly amongst the other people who live here.

What, Me Worry?

Schools
Roads
Infrastructure (water, sewer, electric power, communications)
Law Enforcement (actual enforcement, not what we have here with 50 arrests and still on the street)
Safe medications
National Security including a secure border
A well-trained and equipped military force
