Brenton Awa was MIA from the last hearing. This state has ways of getting to people and I wouldn't take his vote for granted.

Awa and Fevella are very busy as the only 2 republicans.  They have to try and attend all the hearings so they jump around all day.

Time to resurrect this I guess

Fix the 'Ōlelo Hawai'i first.

The way the grammar is now, you're saying "come and be taken."

To 671....I appreciate the actual time and effort to make the shirts. I'm wearing mine as I write this.
It would be nice to have some to sell at the gun show if you got any, but don't make a special run.

To Q...why didn't you include the corrected version?

Note:
The next gun show at the Blaisdell is less than a month away.
I will have a table to try to promote this forum again. The more eyes we get on this forum the better.
I'll be looking for a few volunteers to help watch the table like the last time.
I have other responsibilities to attend to at the show which will take several hours each day.

What, Me Worry?

...

I'm not saying what's correct or not, since I'm not even close to an "expert".

So, I used Google Translate, and this is what it has to say, for whatever that's worth:

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

My opinion, the logo is cool, but we need to be perfect. And even though Antifa gets away with it, the logo looks too antifa/commie like. Esp with the red background.  This might give the anti 2a people ammo to use against the cause.

Ironically, the HI supreme court just affirmed the slogan "HI Will Not comply."

If they don't think HI should comply with US Law or SCOTUS precedence, then they have no moral high ground to demand US citizens living in HI comply with HI laws that violate the US Constitution.

What's cool about this is on the last round, the slide locks back. Then when you twist the tube, the bolt automatically comes forward and you're ready to rock n roll.

I got E HELE MAI E LAWE

Is that correct?
I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

I got E HELE MAI E LAWE

Is that correct?

The correct Hawaiianization would be:

E hele mai a (e) lawe i kēia mau (mea, mea kaua, pū).

Mea = objects/things.

Mea kaua = weapons, lit. "War things/objects".

Pū = guns/firearms.

This literally translates to:

Come here and take these (things, weapons, guns)

Not all English grammar or phrases can be directly translated into Hawaiian. Adjustment must be made so that the phrase adheres to the grammar rules of the language it is being translated into.

Ironically, the HI supreme court just affirmed the slogan "HI Will Not comply."

If they don't think HI should comply with US Law or SCOTUS precedence, then they have no moral high ground to demand US citizens living in HI comply with HI laws that violate the US Constitution.

If you want to Hawaiianize this, it would be something along the lines of:

'A'ole (mākou / 'o Hawai'i) e ho'okō

We/Hawai'i will not confirm/fulfill

What's proper Hawiianese for "Stop being such a dick?"

Friday's SB3196 AWB hearing is "Decision Making Only" so no oral or zoom  testimonies will be taken at the State Capitol.  However we still need some people to attend  to represent and add the pressure.  Go if you're free that day but don't  take the day off work.  The vote will take about 15 minutes unless  there's delays.  There is a ID check and security screening at the capitol now so no weapons.

1.  Wear a visible and noticeable gun or hunting  related clothing.  The Senators need to visually know what you are there  for since you can't talk.  Wear a shooting jersey, 2A shirt, hunting  camo, orange vest, orange or camo cap, minuteman shirt, or something.

2.  Get there early and make a last minute visit to their offices in this order of importance, they should be free.
Sen San Buenaventura, Room 213
Sen Mike Gabbard, Room 201
Sen Brenton Awa, Room 203
Sen Brandon Elefante, Room 217
Sen Karl Rhoads, Room 228

3.   The hearing is at 9:30am in room 016 Chamber Level (basement).  SB3196  is the 3rd bill up for a vote.  Make your presence known when they call  the bill number and let them know you're watching them and will remember  this.

4.  If you stick around for the end of the hearing (30 to 45 minutes) thank the senators that opposed the bill.

Recommend trying basement parking at the Capitol on Miller St, should have parking if you go early.  $2/hr with cash or credit cards.   If not, try the other places.  https://ethics.hawaii.gov/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Capitol-Map.pdf

There is security screening and ID check at the Capitol.  No weapons allowed in.

Someone lend me $10k NODs, helmet and chest rig, so I can go to this?

Yes, as it isn't illegal to do so, yet...(I know rhetorical, but some may be wondering if it's legal to wear the following outside and not at a range). But make sure no ammo is caught inside your rig.  Sometimes 1 bullet is forgotten to be in it or fell in it. 1 guy during the BLM march was arrested for places to keep an ammo as he had 1 or more in his plate carrier. Media didn't specify was it a mag, or 1 bullet found.

I 've seen a guy wear his plate carrier to protest outside of Planned Parenthood next to HPD main station.  Few weeks later, someone shot a BB gun at them.

But it doesn't make the cause any better when guys look tactical or hobo looking. I was told from a few anti 2a people that when someone looks professional when testifying, they have a better opinion of the person.
