Does SB3196 Prohibit Personally-Owned "Assault Weapons" from Law Enforcement? (Read 1944 times)

Does SB3196 prohibit law enforcement from their own personally-owned "Assault Weapons"?

I cannot imagine that police will be banned from high-capacity pistol magazines.

But in terms of rifles, much of the rifles that law enforcement in Hawaii use on-the-job -- county, state, federal -- are personally owned "assault weapons" and not department issued.  But if law enforcement is prohibited from purchasing their own "assault weapons," then we should get the police union SHOPO (State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers) to help stop this bill.

Also, anyone have the link of the current version that I hear may be voted on this coming Tuesday??

Law enforcement exempt. When you submit written testimony the link to the bill is on the same page.

I see a movie in the making.  American Civil War II.

Armed Citizens against a tyrannical government and their agencies.

Bolt actions, Leverguns, Double Barrel and single shot shotguns against AR's, Hi-Cap Mags, and Military weapons.

Armed citizens, although heroic and brave, lose.  Government wins.  A "New Democracy" replaces the old government and the rebellious citizens who survived are put in re-education camps.

It is there that they find out the government "allowed" the Civil War to happen.  But only after an all out ban on civilians owning "assault type" weapons.  Part of the overall plan.

The Great Re-Set.  The government will never fight fair.

A movie titled "Cival War" is coming out right around the election.

Dumb synopsis and the movie will likely be trash/anti-2A/anti-Trump.

In the near future, a team of journalists travel across the United States
during the rapidly escalating Second American Civil War that has engulfed
the entire nation, between the American government and the separatist
"Western Forces" led by Texas and California. The film documents the
journalists struggling to survive during a time when the government has
become a dystopian dictatorship and partisan extremist militias regularly
commit war crimes.
