Fu Sheng made a movie called "Shaolin Temple".  With Ti Lung and Chen Quan Tai amongst others.  That movie was pretty cool also.

But yeah.  If I have to pass all 36 chambers of Shaolin then I guess I'll never be able to join the Chinese Gun Club.

I think they are testing new procedures. Maybe training new people too? They hired a lot of new RSO during the last few months.

So it looked like the range is still not open to the public on weekdays.

Government run facility open to the public giving preferential treatment to a Chinese-oriented (pun intended) gun club over any other clubs.

Sounds like a classic case of racial discrimination.

I think clubs can run ranges on the weekdays and holidays as long as they provide the staffing and take responsibility for the range, and it doesn't conflict with LE use.

AND the ONLY part of the range the general public can use:  The Bulleye Pistol range along with the 100 yd Rifle range next to it.

The clubs can schedule and operate independently the action Bays on the other side.  And of course the silly side.

Although the Bulleye range is specifically built for a specific type of competition that the action bays probably wouldn't accommodate.  Maybe this is why?  But I thought the competitions were held when the range is closed to the public.

Actually, before the closure and partial reopen, I've been shooting at the bullseye side on weekends while a competition shoot was going on.  All of the positions on the left of the entrance were reserved.  Only the right side (facing down range) were available for practice.

Each time, I was made aware by the RSO that there would be additional cease fires to allow the competitors to check and change targets.  It was inconvenient for me, but not a major problem.
