Hundreds?

Were more than 3/4ths of the "hundreds" of protestors camera shy?  I counted fewer than 60 in the photo.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

If you watched the hearing, there were hundreds of people from all over Moku o Keawe that packed the building, so much so that a large number has to stand outside the for hours, in order to testify

Just like with 3196, the overwhelming majority of testimonies opposed the bill.

"Hundreds Of Hawaii Island Residents Protest..."
When I see the word "protest", I don't imagine people testifying.  I image what people were doing in the picture:  holding signs to get the attention of the public.

But, I'm no expert....

If you actually read the article, Doug, you would have saw the part that said:

"These qualities were driven home last week by hundreds of people at a weekday meeting of the Windward Planning Commission in Hilo."

As the man you try to mimick says: FOCUS.

Maybe you can also Google the protest and let us know what the definition says.

Wait, I don't trust you. Here it is:

groveler

I spend a lot of time on the BI.
I know this place.
It is very remote
I usually go to the piss poor boat ramp to drink beer and talk to locals.
And buy fish fresh off the boat cash only.
You can't drink in the park where all the terrorists go.  Did I misspell tourist?

You can't safely surf or swim there, the currents are nasty.
There are a few VRBO houses there.
Tourism ruins the trip so don't bother.
Unless you park a casino there
It will fail in most anything they do with it.
Too remote.
