Is there a listing of instructors that can provide the required classes needed to acquire firearms and to conceal carry on Oahu? 

So far I know Rocky on this forum is.

This would be an excellent question for HPD to post the answer to on their website.

And for them to keep updated.

If they are going to limit the training to only those the department verifies, then they should publish the official list for the public.

It's ridiculous for them to treat this like some Poke'mon hunt. 

"You must get training."

"We already have training."

"From a verified trainer?"

'I don't know.  Who are the verified trainers?"

"That's your problem."

 

I heard this guy may be, but without a way to verify it -- like a list on the official HPD website -- how would we know?

Firearms International shot me an email saying they are conducting CCW classes and that they are approved by HPD.

But again they are claiming this.  Not HPD.  So yeah, where is HPD's list?

Anyway, Firearms International will waive the CCW fee if you buy a firearm from them.

HRA will start both classes, I believe starting in April.  If you missed them at the gun show, recommend stopping by Danger Close Tactical for some info.  Might as well check out some guns, buy ammo, etc.

You can request one via UIPA. And like usual, they will redact stuff that doesn't have to be redacted.

My post is in error.  I reviewed my emails and the fee waiving is for the Firearm Safety Course.  They charge $199.99 for this course.  There is no mention of CCW course.

I hope this guy is not providing training.  Old video but just shows just because you are LE it don't mean shiite.  So just because HPD says they certify the instructors........
