Craziest Price Gouge You've Seen...

Ok, lets hear em. With so many people losing their minds, list the most insane price you've seen on something (if can, list what the standard price should be). I'll start...

Gunbroker
-5 Gen2 Non Window PMags, auction closed at just over $455.00... 5 Gen2 PMags should be between $10-$14 (Total should have been around $70.00).

-100 pack Gen2 Non Window PMags, auction was still going at over $7,500.00.... 100 Gen2 PMags should have been around $1,400.

-AR15.com member had a coworker offer him $3k for a $800 franken AR. Coworker knew what the actual cost of the rifle was, but had checked local stores, and panic buying had wiped out all local inventories.

I'm not against supply and demand logic behind these guys making a profit (though I personally would never pay this kind of mark up).  :-\

I threw a troy battlemag on ebay and it got taken down yet I see everyone else is getting like 80 for one pmag or more. I bet people filed complaints against my mag for some reason.

Wonder if its because its a "battlemag" and Pmag flies under the radar??  Same stuff happens on Craigslist, hit a keyword and you're banned.

Nope lots of mags were being taken down but some stayed up for some reason. I feel like people go around and report mag ads just because they can. Trying to sign up on gunbroker but well see.

It's because they make PMAGs for airsoft too and eBay's investigative department are mental midgets who don't know the difference. The majority of deleted listings are based on trigger words and phrases instead of the actual item. So NEVER use words like "Military", "High Capacity", "issued", etc. when selling firearms parts and magazines.

I threw a troy battlemag on ebay and it got taken down yet I see everyone else is getting like 80 for one pmag or more. I bet people filed complaints against my mag for some reason.
I had the same problem with Surefire mags months ago...Try listing it as "Troy Magazine" or "Troy Industries Mag", describe the condition and give the UPC/Part#. If putting up a picture just show the base plate.  I also found the putting "Will hold 10 rounds", "Will only sell where legal", and "Know your local laws" in the description helps. Pretty idiotic, but you get the idea.

My listing is long gone, but if I recall correctly it was something like:

Title: Surefire MAG5-100

Brand new in box GENUINE Surefire MAG5-100. Lots of room to hold 10 rounds of 5.56!

Features:
•Compatible with all weapons that accept standard STANAG 4179 compliant magazines
•Reliable functioning due to mechanical simplicity and high-quality non-binding coil spring—no lubricants required
•Long-lasting springs are cadmium coated for low friction and excellent corrosion resistance
•Easily seated in weapon with bolt forward
•May be kept fully loaded for extended periods without spring fatigue
•Only 1.66" thick, less than two 30-round magazines clipped together

***By bidding on this item, the buyer agrees that they are aware of their local laws and that purchase/possession is not a violation of said laws.***
