Now that's a lot of stopping power and penetration.

Man narrowly escapes as runaway sawblade flies at him from construction site

Shane Reimche is still shaken thinking about how he narrowly escaped death on Thursday after a 4-foot concrete sawblade came flying from a nearby construction site, slamming into the wall of a liquor store just seconds after Reimche walked in.

The blade embedded itself nearly two feet deep into the wall of the store, Grewal says. It took three men to remove it.

Lots more detail plus a VIDEO of the blade rolling through the parking lot and embedding in the wall just after Reimche entered.  That video is worth 1,000 words at least!  Same video is included in the HNN video report.

The caption under one of the photos says the blade was embedded in the wall almost 2 ft deep.  The video reporter from HNN said nearly 2 ft deep.

i sometimes take time to read about freak accidents.  Some are unbelievable.  Reminds me of the Final Destination movies in which sequences of actions and events had to be set in motion in the exact order and timing to produce the end result -- an unpredictable death.

A few seconds sooner or a few minutes later as he left, and they'd be interviewing his widow/kids.

In the eyes of today's journalism anything over 12 inches can be rounded up to 2 feet.

Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.
