It's going to get a lot worse. They are attempting to hold the economy together with duct tape and bailing wire until after the election, but the damage is done. Even if Trump wins we are screwed.

Trump made peace with NK and Russia. THen the political elites couldn't stand it and mocked him for it. Eventually, Biden dismantled all that was done.

The US empire was in decline well-before Trump took office.  Once in office, Trump must have known there was very little he could have done in one term.  To transform the US empire back to a republic would mean downsizing the military to purely coastal defense; taking initiative to end the FED; closing its continental borders to all types of immigration while deporting illegal immigrants; shutting down the CIA/NSA/etc.; overseeing massive election reform; balancing the federal budget while begin reducing the national debt; and etc.

New? What qualifies the word new?

N. Korea has been on the US's shit list since the war. Russia since just after WW2. Iran has been on the shit list since at least 2002 because that's when I got into banking and took an exam on countries we do not do banking business with and Iran was 1 of them. Side note, so was Cuba, N. Korea, and Iraq.
