More on fudds

I have come across a few of the types in this video, but many of the boxed and "I've always done it this way" or "this is the way" types.  Never thought of them as fudds as described in this video and in the OP.  I've come across many who were so "myopic" that didn't realize they were pissing the entire group off while pushing what they feel is right over everyone else. 

Since I avoid public ranges I don't meet many of these people.
My guns were selected for utility, world wide availability of ammunition, and maintainability.
I possess over twenty five guns. mix of rifles, shotguns, and pistols. I'm proficient with all of them.
I typically keep a minimum of one thousand rounds per caliber type.
I'm not a "Fudd".
Unless you ask specific questions I won't interfere with  or try to influence you.
I do not own an AR 15.
But I know how to shoot and clean one.
Ammo is why I don't own one.

I think people who shoot ARs with their thumb on same side as trigger finger are dumb....

It's as if anyone can make up a definition or word to mean anything they want, whether it's already defined or not.

A Fudd has always been someone who brags "I own guns' but then proceeds to explain how firearms are to be used for hunting.  Their little world revolves around their own needs in which to apply firearms, but they never seem to grasp the fact that the 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with hunting.

To hear them talk, as long as their needs are not being infringed upon, they couldn't care less about this Assault Weapon Ban, that background check, or any other laws that only affect people arming themselves for self defense or sport shooting that isn't related to hunting.

Pretty simple definition.  I was unaware there are a bunch of variations and versions.

I thought Fudd referred to the Bugs bunny character.....Elmer Fudd.
That would be a person with a gun who is not very smart or proficient with its use.

It only took a minute to find out that he was banned from some shooting competitions.
If you go to the end (8:45) of this video attached, he says "I don't typically take range rules seriously..."

He should do a video with the family of the kid who was killed at the boy scout camp on the big island.

You know the context of why he was banned from USPSA? Or context of the range rules comments?   But yeah, you’re quick to pass judgement because you don’t agree with him and look to discredit.

You also know all of the details of said “Boy Scout Camp”?  There were no “range rules”. You “sure” it was even a “Boy Scout” function?

I don’t agree with everything he says. He does post stuff for reactions.  He’s definitely abrasive and many times pisses people off with what he says. However, I do think he’s attention needy. Not unlike some here. . . but I digress.

Generally what I thought of for fudds, and generally looking down on anything that they aren't familiar with.

I was thinking in general, not just HI.  That said, I long wanted a Staccato, but doubt I'll ever get one. I've shot a few (C, P, XC) and they are excellent guns.  Even better with 17-21+ round standard cap mags.
