My uncle was a world class and world requested doctor.
I'm an engineer in two disiplines.
We have a family rule not to talk politics.
Would I want Josh to patch me up in the ER - sure.
Do I want him to rule over me as governor, NO!

of course.
The State of Hawaii can afford it like how we can afford the rail.
Besides he is a doctor and many of us are not.

"He attended that meeting remotely."

Guess not everyone watched the first 20 seconds of the video.  Or maybe they watched after 8 PM?

I remember the astonishment of WH staffers that Trump was functioning on very little sleep each night, and he still had more energy than half the people around him.

Uncle Joe needs 8 hours at night and a couple of afternoon naps just to make it to an ice cream parlor photo op.

The same staffers that said he worked 3 hours a day and watched TV and used Twitter for the rest of the day?

No, actual staffers with names, not "anonymous White House sources" who never existed.

And this isn't news.  He's functioned that way most of his life.

Quote
Anyway, he says that to get everything done he works until about midnight or
one o’clock in the morning. Then he’s back up and at ‘em at 5 am.

During particularly busy times, those four to five hours can become as little as
three. He’s been maintaining this schedule for years, not just as president, but
as a businessman, too. He reasons that he’s better able to compete and accomplish
more than someone who sleeps double or triple that amount of time.

Joe took a week off to prepare for the debate with Trump.
He was still exhausted after a week off?
Maybe he should take the rest of the year off.
The Hyena in charge would be a horror show that bad people will enjoy.

Lots of TDS in this banana republik and on this forum.

Refusing to acknowledge that Trump, although only 3 years younger, is waaaay more fit and able to do the job of the current White House resident who is only 3 years older.

Whether you support Trump or not, this is fact.

Stuff like this is why stupid people get elected.

https://www.hawaiifreepress.com/Articles-Main/ID/41199/Veto-Hawaii-governor-under-fire-over-authority-to-suspend-electronic-media-transmission

Gov. Josh Green (D-HI) is facing opposition for his intention to veto a bill that would limit his authority to suspend electronic media transmission during a state of emergency.

House Bill 2581 would remove these words from Hawaii law regarding a governor’s or mayor’s powers during an emergency, specifically “to the extent permitted by or under federal law, suspend electronic media transmission.”

If signed into law, the bill will establish “a reasoned and balanced measure” that addresses both the public’s right to information and the concerns of emergency management agencies, according to the Big Island Press Club.

“The governor or mayors’ ability to suspend any and all ‘electronic media transmissions’ during a state of emergency creates a clear prior restraint on lawful free speech and publication and violates the First Amendment as upheld by the United States Supreme Court,” said Chris Leonard, president of the Hawaii Association of Broadcasters.

Vetoing the measure would put a lot of power into the hands of corrupt government leaders.

Not that we have corrupt government leaders.

Three former Hawaii Democratic governors are calling for President Joe Biden to withdraw his bid for his second term for the nation's top seat after his poor performance at last week's debate.

John Waihee, Ben Cayetano and Neil Abercrombie sent a press release to media outlets Saturday writing, "With the Presidential Election looming this is where we are: a minute-by-minute dissection on social and mainstream media of whether President Joe Biden is mentally and physically able to secure the confidence of the American voter."

They called the President "frail and seemingly muddled" as he debated with former President Donald Trump and "unfit" to run a successful campaign.

"It is apparent to us that the debate was much more than a “bad night.” The debate was not an episodic one-off but rather the result of an ongoing condition –a condition of decline that will not be reversible."

The former governors wrote that the call for President Biden to step down "is not one of age as such but aging and its implications and consequences for the overriding task of defeating Donald Trump."

Waihee is 78, Cayetano is 84 and Abercromie is 86.

The Democratic National Convention is in August where delegates from all 50 states will rally around Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' nomination for President and Vice President.
