As for confiscation and mandatory buy-back of weapons by the government, this was tried by Australia in 2011, and the results are dismal.
Since Australia’s gun ban, armed robberies jumped 68 percent, assaults with guns rose 28 percent, gun murders are up 19 percent and home invasions increased 21 percent.

Unlike the voluntary buybacks in the United States, Australian gun buybacks of 1996 and 2003 were compulsory, compensated surrenders of newly-illegal firearms.

The 1996 Buyback took 600,000 newly illegal sporting firearms, including all semi-automatic rifles including .22 rimfires, semi-automatic shotguns and pump-action shotguns. Because the Australian Constitution prevents the taking of property without just compensation the Federal Government decided to put a 1% levy on income tax for one year to finance the compensation. The buyback was predicted to cost A$500 million and had wide community support.[5]

The 2003 handgun buyback compensated the confiscation of about 50,000 newly illegal pistols, the majority being target arms of greater than 9mm calibre (generally used for IPSC competition), or smaller handguns with barrels less than 4" such as pocket pistols, which were mostly licensed for target use as since 1996 licenses cannot be issued for self-defense in Australia

We are headed for this. Same story as GB and Aus. Criminals will have free reign. I even heard so called 'conservative' radio today talking about the necessity of ar type rifles and carbines. I almost shit myself! The hosts sounded like liberal gun grabbers! I thought they took over the radio station or something. Their talking points were idiotic and very uninformed, just like your typical scared sheep liberal.

Yep,  no need for the tin foil.  This shit might just be happening right before our eyes.

read them for my entertainment.  what a joke.  the greenewave article is just them saying that a confiscation begins on January 1st, and then as "evidence", he puts a transcript of a speech that never mentions confiscation, a video of the speech, and some screaming nitwit with no evidence.

the bizpac article references a 2011 Australian gun buy back that doesnt exist while ignoring the eralier, actual buy backs, while quoting the NY governor, who ISNT a part of congress and thus has little to no influence on national policy, suggesting anything from a confiscation, to permits, which are far likelier.

and the first is just a video from Alex Jones.  nuff said.

to quote it.

I didnt even read the articles.  I have just been observing what has been going on in all media outlets. Nothing but brainwashing and misinformation.  Prep for what is to come.  All they need is that 51% support, or perceived majority in any case. And they are getting it too.

This is what I'm worried about.  I'll tell you this, though: I swear to God I'll never turn in my guns, and I will not hesitate to forcefully resist anyone who comes for them.  I don't think I'm the only one, either.

the house has a majority republicans.  the dems would not only need to hold onto all of theirs (will be hard), but also change 23 Republican minds.  its not gonna pass.

beyond that, the senate doesnt have a supermajority.  they can be filibustered.

also note, we wont be seeing anything really til the end of January at the earliest.  the furor is already dieing down.  come legislative time, they're not going to have the kind of support they do now.

The Repubs are weak minded. They lost the election because of their lack of values and their abandon of them. They believed the media complex when they said the teaparty movement was bad news for them.  They forgot to relilize that America wanted a real change, the reason why they won the house. They will cave to appease the masses and try secure their re-elections.  Which they wont be able to achieve anyway. They don't have the balls to stand up to the messiah.

no one's going to remember this come re election.

and yes, the tea party movement was bad for them. it was too extreme and had no hope of attracting to moderate voters you need to win an election.  Obama won because he convinced people he could work across the aisle.  a lie, but it worked.  the tea party is too extreme for the middle voters.

Romney did win moderate voters. He didnt win the election. Why? Because he was Obama light. I voted for him, not cause he was the best choice, but because he was the only alternative.  Tea party swept the house in 2010 because people where tired of the status quo.  Romney lost because he represnted the same old same old.  Not what America wanted.  The only reason the teaparty is 'extreme' , as you put it, is because the bull shit media made them out, falsely, to be so.  People dont want 'reaching across the aisle',a other media spin in my veiw, people want solutions and change to the corruption.  How else would they have won in 2010?

he did not win that many moderate voters, dude.  you dont get hammered like that in the election if you won over moderates.

and they are extreme.  when you look a the political spectrum that exists in congress, they're the farthest right.  the extreme.  who's more conservative than them?  no one.  hence, they are the extreme.

There's a lot being floated around the internet today about this. But there doesn't seem to be much clout concerning confiscation. As what is already known, there are 120 specifically named firearms which will be totally banned, a reinstatement of the 1994 AWB with revisions and the grandfathering  of all firearms owned by individuals that fall under the 120 gun ban list. If you legally own one, you will be required by the BATF to perform a background check, register into a national/federal database with photo and fingerprint.

He won two or three of the 'swing states', I forget with it was, it was just a matter of obama winning the larger ones that mattered.  and also they are not the farthest right.

The media is running a full-court press on this, but the prospects for an assault weapons ban are pretty remote if you break down the stats.  Here's an article from The New Yorker (that paragon of pro-gun literature) that gets into the nitty-gritty of whether or not a ban could make it through Congress.

As an aside, although the voters of Montana have repeatedly sent Democrats to the House and Senate, our Democrats ain't like most Democrats, and Baucus and Tester will not support a ban if they value their political careers.  That's pretty clear in the article, which makes me proud to claim God's Country as home.
