President Joe Biden will deliver a speech on his decision to drop out of the 2024
race on Wednesday.

“Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office on
what lies ahead, and how I will finish the job for the American people,” the president
posted on X Tuesday morning.

It will be the first time the country hears from the president extensively since his
abrupt decision to exit the race on Sunday after he spent weeks defiantly insisting
he had no intention of doing so.

Any predictions on what the Mumbler in Chief will say -- other than "I can't run!?"

I predict he will say he's remaining in office until January. 

I don't think he put the nation's interests above his own, so resigning isn't on the table for him.  I'm wishing for it, though.

He's going to tell a story that nobody can entirely follow.

He's going to say, "I'm serious," and "Listen!" at least one time each.

i'm sure he'll try to pretend to be a uniter by once again expressing his relief that Trump survived, even though we all know you don't call someone a threat to the nation, a threat to democracy and Hitler, and then say you're sorry they are still alive to run for president.

i imagine COVID will come up as a catalyst for him making the decision to not run.

He'll also praise the work Harris has done as VP without naming an actual success to her credit  --  other than keeping him alive by being a worse choice for president -- same job he did under Obama.

Thousands of Palestinians and critics of the Israeli war in Gaza descended
on Washington DC to protest Benjamin Netanyahu’s congressional address
on Wednesday, with US flags set alight and pepper spray deployed during
clashes.

“The crowd failed to obey our order to move back from our police line,’’ Capitol
Police said X during the protest. “We are deploying pepper spray towards
anyone trying to break the law and cross that line.’’

Several hundred protesters at the city’s Union Station Plaza replaced US flags
with Palestinian ones, and it was the site of the burning of the US flag.

The visit of Israel’s controversial leader on Capitol Hill drew thousands to the
streets, shutting down several blocks while a smaller group led a march around
the vicinity.

Though Netanyahu was speaking to Congress, it was the presidential race
atop the minds of both demonstrators and speakers who delivered addresses
between shouted chants of “free, free Palestine!”.
