"Racism, sexism, and general inequality." Which Party Does That Describe? (Read 996 times)

Ever since the proliferation of mass communication, the Democrats have used it to gaslight the nation.

They want us to believe what they tell us, not what we see them doing.

Did you know that the Democratic Party defended slavery, started the Civil War,
founded the KKK, and fought against every major civil rights act in U.S. history?
Watch as Carol Swain, professor of political science at Vanderbilt University,
shares the inconvenient history of the Democratic Party

When you think of the Republican Party, what comes to mind? If you’re like
many Americans, you may associate the GOP with racism, sexism, and general
inequality. It’s a commonly pushed narrative by left-leaning media and academia,
but as former Vanderbilt Professor of Political Science Carol Swain explains,
the Republican Party was actually responsible for nearly every advancement for
minorities and women in U.S. history—and remains the champion of equality to
this day.

The Republican party was once the party of Lincoln. Today the Republican party is the party of the KKK and Nazism

Funny how there's no proof to support your claim.

Quote
Founded in 1866, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern
state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican
Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic
equality for blacks. Its members waged an underground campaign of intimidation
and violence directed at white and black Republican leaders.

Though Congress passed legislation designed to curb Klan terrorism, the
organization saw its primary goal – the reestablishment of white supremacy –
fulfilled through Democratic victories in state legislatures across the South in the
1870s.

in your mind, the KKK and the Democrat Party of the late 1800s were completely different people.  One group was political, and the other a terrorist group.

The truth is, the KKK groups were comprised of Southern Democrats.  That continued long into the 1940s, when DEMOCRAT Senator Byrd admitted to "organizing and leading a local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s."

Now you want to divorce yourself from the Democrat Party which aligned with the anti-civil-rights agenda of the KKK and claim it's now the GOP aligning with the KKK.

Sorry.  Your party needs to own its history, which includes slavery, political battles to stop civil rights legislation, and all the other racist behaviors they engaged in.

Was it the GOP that erected Confederate monuments on public land and flew Confederate flags over government buildings?  Gee, seems that was a rather recent conflict that became national news, but it wasn't the GOP fighting for their preservation.  It was Southern groups made up of descendants of confederate soldiers and their families.

You seem to be schizophrenic when it comes to owning your party's actions. You're falsely accusing other parties of being "the party of the KKK", which demonstrates you do know what your party did was wrong.  You just can't admit it without trying to deflect using lies and false allegations.
