Hillary Clinton says it's a 'double standard' to ask Harris about her policies (Read 2425 times)

Killary protecting the side chick. I wonder if she would allow Bill and Hyena alone in the same room together.

QUIETShooter

I don't understand where the double standard lies.  What's wrong with asking for kamala's policy and how she will achieve them.

If she's saying they are asking kamala for policy explanations and not her opponent Trump, then Hillary is full of shiite.

Trump lays it all out.  There is no secret as to what he plans to do.

Can't this b*tch just go away?  She's irrelevant.

This is the usual tactic by the left/liberals/dnc. Same as calling someone whos not a racist a racist, hitler type, etc...

It is funny, Hillary seemed like she would be a terrible choice in 2016 but now, compared to Harris, I would rather have Hillary

No, no, no.  If I had to choose between the two, I'd write in Ronald McDonald.

Are you saying you'd vote for Hillary over Trump?

You weren't clear -- you just said you'd vote for Hillary.

To me, that's like saying i'd drink a quart of gasoline before I'd drink Bud Light.  I wouldn't do either, but it drives home just how much i hate Bud Light.

Well it's obvious Trump has no chance. Especially given his Project2025 policies that would be a disaster. Today he says he is going to put a mandatory cap on credit card interest rates and pay for it with Tariffs. You can tell Trump is desperate and grasping for a lifeline. He will promise anything to stay out of prison.

Tariffs are taxes imposed by one country on goods or services imported from another country. Tariffs are trade barriers that raise prices and reduce available quantities of goods and services for U.S. businesses and consumers.

Posted the first all-negative definition Google fed you, huh?

Quote
The Bottom Line

Tariffs have existed in one form or another for centuries. Trading partners implement
them to politically influence a partner, protect domestic industries and consumers,
and further national goals and interests.

Tariffs are not always negative, regardless of what you might see on the news. They
can be a means to open negotiations again between trading partners, provide each a
chance to voice concerns, and even help to stabilize a country's market.

I suppose some people would prefer the US fall in line behind other countries that pay their workers next to nothing in order to compete in a global marketplace.

If you want manufacturing jobs that pay higher than minimum wage and provide great benefits for workers and their families, that costs money -- money which is generated through sales of products.  Good luck paying workers a "living wage" while dirt cheap labor in other countries give them a competitive advantage.

We used to have campaigns in the US asking citizens to buy American and "Look for the Union Label."  Now all people care about is can I save 50 bucks on a new laptop computer or 6 bucks on an assortment of nuts and bolts.

Good jobs cost money, and other countries don't buy our goods at the quantities we buy from them.  Guess which side benefits from that trade imbalance.

It takes a little more thought than "prices go up & availability goes down" when explaining the real effects of trade tariffs.

I said I would vote for Hillary over Harris.  It has nothing to do with Trump.

I had previously called the Trump v Hillary decision like voting for a douche or a turd sandwich (Southpark reference). That still stands but Harris is somehow worse than Hillary. Trump and Harris are both terrible and will be bad for America. I'll be voting libertarian again.

If the choice were between Harris and Hillary as president who would you pick?

I don't think that is a very fair comparison because even hardcore freedom loving conservatives still do, occasionally, consider what is good for society.

Occasionally?  ???  The good of society should never come at the expense of the individual.

That's just smoke and mirrors.

Swoooosh!

Read the meme again.

Both "sayings", quotes, whatever, are placing the good of society above the rights of the individual with no qualifications.

So, while your comment might be accurate, it in no way mitigates the fact that the ideology demonstrated by the meme is the same as Communism and Socialism.

You can't protect individual rights and freedoms if your priority is always the good of society.  We've seen that happen with the 2A for decades until the Bruen ruling crushed those "public safety over Constitutional rights" arguments, also referred to as a balancing test.

Until your neighbor starts burning tires in his back yard and the smoke blows towards your house or thousands of other situations where we temper our freedoms to do certain things out of recognizing the benefits of a smoother flowing society.

If Hillary meant that all personal freedoms must be subjugated to what is good for society then severe criticism is warranted but that is not what she said and I don't think that is what she meant either.

I did try to find the quote in its full context but could not find any source for it. The quote might not even be accurate and the meme just made to feed people with Hillary hate.
