I went to Costco Waipio tonight and sitting on the endcap was a 3 pack of "High Intensity Tactical Flashlights." How could I pass up a deal like that?

The packaging states 100 lumens and a 4 hour run time on 50% mode. There are three modes: 50%, 100%, and strobe.
The lights each take 3 AAA batteries (included) and have a red light indicator for low battery.

It seems pretty good so far. Here are some pics.

I like the idea of these lights, but I really hate the little 3-pack AAA battery design.  Or maybe I just hate AAA batteries.

Anyway, let us know how they hold up!

Funny you mention that. I can't stand AAA's either. I was actually looking for some AA models online and gave up because they were more expensive (~$30 a piece). These were just at the right price.
I wonder if it's actually designed so it can take CR123 batteries.

Well after reading some reviews, it looks like a pretty good deal with a few caveats:
There is some power draw because of the red light, doh! It may be better to store them without the batteries in.
It may not be as bright as advertised (I don't have much experience with bright flashlights, this one is the brightest I've seen).
It takes AAA's :P

I saw this at Costco, too, my gf pointed it out!  Got her trained. :D

I saw the pack, curiously took a closer look, and walked away.  When it comes to lights, I guess I am a bit of a snob.  Not a Surefire snob, but a snob nevertheless.  I like to know it's quality built, quality circuitry that will last, and very much water proof since I see so much destroyed in our humidity.  I've been carrying a 4Sevens Quark AA2 for several months and I love the light, and the brand.  It ain't cheap, around $60, but it is what I was looking for, and it takes.. AA! :)

I was actually looking for something much like your flashlight mishka and will probably end up getting one of those or the Fenix LD20. Still, I couldn't pass on the deal for some toss-around flashlights. I needed a couple for the cars and honestly just wanted to try them out.

LD20 is an awesome light, too.  In fact, I gave one to my sister for her bday gift last year, and for my mom's Christmas gift! heheh

I am with you on the three pack, if I didn't already have a bunch of lights, pretty much no doubt I would have picked em up, too.

I picked up those very same ones @ Costco when they first came out.  Seems like 6 months?  They have been doing really good, probably not as much lumens as advertised, but pretty close and cannot go wrong on the price!  Holding up really well even with long constant-on runs and short-daily use.  I had a "decent" quality Craftsman Cree LED and it got so hot one day during normal use the batteries leaked out and completely destroyed the light.  This has happened twice to me on these new LED flashlights.  But these Costco ones are holding up very nicely!  Would highly recommend.

They have been great for me too. I used it for working on the car one night and it was going strong for a good hour on the lowest setting off and on. I have been really happy with them. Not to mention being able to throw them around the house and always having one at arms reach because they were so cheap. :)

The same costco brand the wife carries on her and in her car.  I have one in my backbpack.  Great flashlight for the price.  I have Streamlight Stinger LED flashlight, I bought it when I was a tech working on cars.  Now days I use it working the graveyard.  Really rugged light, really bright, and the best thing you dont have to buy battries.  It is a recharagable light.  The only down side is the cost, but I think its was a pretty good investment on my part.

i just bought one of these from costco a few months ago, but the one i got is a 2 pack.  http://www.pureenergysystems.com/store/SolarLite/

I think solar powered or hand crank lights are a must have for survival/emergency situations.

Just picked up a set last week...gave one to each of the kids and also to the wife to throw in their bags...works fine.  It's bright and inexpensive...the kids also won't get yelled at if they happen to misplace them as kids often do...

Sam's Club has a similar deal...2 of what looks identical to the Costco pack and instead of a third, includes two keychain sized lights.   I prefer the Costco 3 light set though.

I bought this 3-pack at CostCo a couple months ago (?) when there was a coupon for them. I don't have a battery life indicator, so maybe mine's an older generation, but it looks the same. I gave one away, I carry one, and I leave the other at home. Can't say anything about the one I gave to my friend, but the two I kept are holding up just fine. They're very bright, the battery life is more than adequate (I already have a bunch of rechargeable AAA batteries on hand anyway.), and the O-ring seems to keep moisture out of the battery compartment. I haven't put it through any real stress--no impact or water--so I can't speak for that.  At $6 and change each, unless you have a specialized need for impact resistance/waterproofing, this is a high return on investment.

I dropped one a bucket of water and it's been working fine since. I have 2 sets, the older one does have battery drain. The newer one I haven't had any such problems. I just leave the battery in them and work fine.
